Sorry for the clunky title, but I could not think of a better way to word it
Also, I am not really sure if it a PSA , or a deal 'per se', but it could be argued that by using the information in this posting , you will be able to save lots of money.
I will let the forum police be the judges
Final caveat, this may be old information for some, but others (like myself as of a week or so ago), this was very welcome news and has already helped me immensely! I was not able to find an official post detailing this information, so I decided to create one myself.
In several Lowes related threads, posters had mentioned that you could sign up for a Lowes for Pros account for free, even if you are not a contractor.
One big benefit of having this type of account is that items that are marked as "unavailable for ordering online", you are now able to order online for in store pickup. Using this method, I was able to take advantage of several deals that did not allow for in store pickup.
To access the associated Lowes For Pros version of a Lowes listing, simply add "forpros" to the www . lowes . com url. You will then be able to see the Lowes for Pros listing and (potentially) be able to order the item for in store pickup.
You will need to create a separate account, but I simply used my lowes email and password, and used my name as the company name. You can also leave the business tax ID fields blank when signing up.
Finally, I had a post a long time ago that had a link to all lowes clearance items sorted by price.
My main link for this post will be the Lowes for Pros version of this link, so you can see all clearance items for a given store and possibly be able to find something good for in store pickup!
Enjoy!

That sucks, I was able to snag five of them. Will be a nice resale.
Lowes for Pros, according to the fine print, was created for bigger businesses to have a more streamlined website experience. one of the by products of that is, apparently, better inventory management on the website. No where was I able to see that the average joe blow could not sign up for Lowes for Pros.
And again, IF (big IF) this is a loophole that is being exploited, can someone please tell me why only a select few individuals should know this knowledge?
I know I am preaching to deaf ears, but still, it really annoys me when some people pick and choose what should be shared. If we are not sharing any and all deals, what is the point of having sites like these?
At least that has been my experience and from what I recall reading on their website in the past.
I used to order clearance items all the time and then pick them up when I was able to. Feels like nearly a year since they changed the system to where only LFP members as the OP mentions are able to order online for store pickup at their leisure.
Since this post came up I've cleaned up on some of the pressure washer deals, the 2 pack fire extinguisher deal (You would think with a 1953 house with 80% cloth wiring we would have had some of these already), 2 stage 30gal compressor deal, and some drawer pulls I've flat out saved a mint.
Total retail at regular price with tax $1,425.18
Actual out of pocket with tax $245.94
Total savings of $1,179.24
I probably could have gotten them to adjust the price of my single in store $15.99 2 pack extinguisher purchase I made on the 12th before they dropped the price to $3.06 same day while I picked up the compressor this morning but hell I saved enough already. Wasn't worth the trouble of explaining to them. LOL
Thank you OP for posting this up.
