Nope, that means pay $1300 NOW, and maybe someday, you get $100 back. Not a deal to me.

That's guaranteed money back, yes you pay $1300 now, but if you get the $100 back within a week or two than really it isn't a difference between paying $1200 now.

Either way, this is a pretty good deal for a laptop of these specs which I figured people would be interested in.

I just checked some of the MSI laptops at micro center today, this specs looks awesome but trackpad on all MSI laptops not user friendly.

Rebates are never guaranteed, and it will absolutely take longer than 1-2 weeks to get it back if you qualify.

Rebates are absolute scum of the Earth. I've never gotten a successful rebate and at this point I don't even bother.

I agree that rebates suck, and although I feel like the next gen stuff is probably compelling enough to wait for, this isn't a bad deal if you need something now, especially considering 17" laptops tend to be a little less common. I don't travel a lot, I prefer the larger screen.

I feel like I rarely see smoking hot deals on MSI laptops anyway, they always seem to command a premium.
