This very nice HE water heater is live again but with some trick to make it work. Probably YMMV.
Here is the original expired frontpage deal:

Price is $699 with the zip code 98204, 97322
However, when you add it in cart, and select home delivery ($75), check out, the price changed back to my local price ($1299 in my location). I checked Chrome an Home Depot app, same result.
But you can make it through Microsoft Edge. The price did change back to 1299 after starting check out. You may noticed that there are an icon indicates coupon available. Just click the icon, although none of the coupon works, the price changed back.
I ordered one yesterday and got it shipped just now.
Don't forget to get 15% coupon somewhere.

Probably referring to Menards 15% bag promo that is going on. So it's probably hit or miss on getting the 15%.
OP please correct me if I am wrong.

Make it even slicker: According to the site if you buy in bulk, three or more, you save an additional $78 per unit 😀

My steps are this:
1. click the link in OP, click "check nearby store" for changing to pickup, enter 98204, choose the first store and a quantity of 1, "Add to Cart"
2. This successfully updates the cart total to $699. Then I click "View Cart" and am brought to the Shopping Cart page.
3. on this page (that starts with Your Cart), I click Ship to Home. If I'm signed up here it updates the price of the order to normal price but doesn't if I'm not signed in. Either way, I do see to the right of the URL bar in Edge that two coupon codes are found, but there's no ability to try the codes on this page. Trying them manually doesn't seem to work.
4. Finally, if I click Checkout, here the Shopping in Microsoft Edge coupon popup thing does let me click Try all coupons, but doing so does not bring the price back down to $699.
What am I doing wrong/differently from all of you? Thank you!
If you just want to replace a dying electric heater and can get this for cheap (via this deal, or even better, combining this deal with your OWN local rebate), the it is a no brainer...ends up being cheaper than a regular electric heater.
If you are replacing a decent-shape electric heater, know that the efficiency of the tank depends on how much hot water you use a day. If you have modest needs, youll maximize the savings by operating in heat pump only mode. But if you have multiple long showers demanded, it will just be the same as a regular electric resistance heater...saving nothing.
Theyre great 3fers if you also need to dehumidify and cool your basement. But if you live in a cold climate, then in the winter this will actually suck heat from wherever you have it to apply it to the water...may not be ideal if its within your house's thermal envelope.
If you happen to have gas for domestic hot water heating (which I do), then the economics get even more dicey, as gas is cheaper BTU-for-BTU than electricity. Unless you have tons of really cheap or free energy (from solar, for example), gas will almost always win for cost and quantity of hot water.
I got the 80 gallon version of this back in 2017, and its sitting in my garage waiting for a way to be used since I ended up going with an indirect tank connected to my condensing boiler. If anyone here lives on LI, NY and wants to make an offer (and has a way to pick it up), make me an offer
