I called local store and had a hard time to get it picked up but finally saved $79 delivery fee. I would spend $79 delivery without dealing with local pickup. I keep getting "We're sorry. The instant rebate for this item is not available in your area, which has increased this item's price." whenever I get to the checkout page.

Edit: Wasn't getting the edge coupon offer for some reason. Received an error saying "0 in stock for the selected ZIP code" when selecting scheduled delivery. Used the coupon "BEAUTYREST30" and was able to get it to go through with PayPal for a total of $731.29 with tax and delivery.

Just ordered using edge. Just make sure to change store in top left of the website to zip 97322, add to cart and then during checkout logged into my account and it populated my shipping info in Florida. I chose the 79$ delivery and will keep it for convenience and less risk of order cancellation. Saved 700$ don't need to be greedy Wink. Thanks OP

Ordered as well. I'm replacing a fairly new water heater but this should be much more efficient. The local and federal rebates made this into an incredible deal.

I have to rely on electric for everything. My water well pump, septic system, oil burning furnace, AC, and water heater all run on electric. I also live in an area where I lose power several times a year. Solution for me... I bought a generator and keep extra cans of gas on hand.

I have had a GE hybrid water heater for like the last 9 years. On average, I spend about $150-200 a year on electric running it, for a family of 5.

Such a good deal, sadly my family of 4 are total water hogs I would need 65/80 gallons. Has anyone seen deals on the larger capacity models

The 50 gallon version does provide upto 65 gallon at a time

I thought the recovery time is way slower on these unless one wants to dip into resistance heating?
