For anyone that didn't notice, the stems are a little under 12". You will want a vase that is about 6-7" tall, but is heavy so it doesn't tip over with the heavy flowers.
You can leave as is, or fill the vase...I bought a bunch of clear blue 1x1.

No, they won't come from a florist van, but not sure what you're expecting from lego.com.
