I used to have comcast triple play. I switched to Sonic Fiber for $60 per month with blazing fast speed. Never had any issue. Comcast has the worst customer service. I used to be on the phone with them for 3 hours plus for simple issue
1. $50/month with autopay, $55/month without autopay. Taxes and fees are already included.
2. No contract. There is a buyer's remorse period (20 days?)
3. Read my comment earlier for speeds.
It is only available in certain markets at the moment. Not everyone will be eligible due to location.
I want to get my mom off Xfinity because they raised the price (as usual) from
- $115 600mbps + 140 TV channels w/HBO+Netflix to
- $220 for the above, then changed the plan to:
- $125 200mbps + 140 TV channels w/ no add-ons
T-Mobile internet is available in her area so will highly consider this. Thank you for the info and repped!
I'm paying Spectrum $75 month. this would work for me but unfortunately its not available in my area.
Out of all the cable companies, i've found Spectrum to be not all that bad. The speeds stay near what i'm paying for most of the time, i've experienced few network drops, and their cell phone plan is great since it uses Verizon.

Agreed. But some of that is a function of them not being allowed to implement data caps as part of their 2016 merger approval. As 2023 approaches and the no-data-cap requirement expires I'm bracing for them to get a lot worse....

I have had this equipment since Monday and I've been having a hard time locating the base unit to get good performance. I can run speedtest on my phone (on 5G) and I get well over 100Mbps, sometimes closer to 200Mbps but the TMO 5G cylinder just does not get nearly the same speeds (tested from my phone on it's WiFi). This weekend I will have a lot more time to move the unit around (it has an internal battery so I guess I can just carry it around w/o the power brick) and see if I can locate it somewhere where the signal is best and then test it out for a week or two. TMO offered me a $50 credit on my bill for trying this so my first 30d are free.

Unfortunately the service comes with a wifi router that you must use. You cannot turn off the router functionality by enabling bridge mode and then connect it to your home router. This really limits the usefulness of the service, even if you are in an area with fairly decent coverage.
When the hardware can be changed (or new firmware opens up the feature set), this will be a great option for some people in some areas.

The max I have gotten thru this provided T-mobile router is ~125Mbps on WIFI with only 2 bars. I too need to tweak the location of the base this weekend to see if I can get better/faster.

I agree. The router function in the provided device is completely trash until the end user can edit settings. My router/hub connects to this device fine, but can't access some of my older devices on my network externally.

How did you get the $50 credit for a free month?
