But about as good of a deal as Walmart's HP - Pavilion Gaming Desktop - TG01-0023w - AMD Ryzen 5 3500 (6C/6T) - 8GB RAM - GTX 1650 Super - 256GB NVMe for $599

This one has the wifi6, so that's a win for this. In terms of the CPU, I guess the two are about the same?

Im bored and want info. I want to build something similar but with more ram and ssd. What price range would I be looking at? I game but mostly household usage and want to expand if I decide to. Recently heard about pcparkpicker.com through SD comment and that's a damn gold mine. But it's also a rabbit hole.

Gpu prices are through the roof. You're honestly better off buying a pre-built at this point.

For running as is, no. But this one might be better for upgrading. Under power supply, it lists both 360W and 500W PSUs. I'm not sure which is correct, but if its the latter, you could upgrade this to a 3060 Ti when they're more readily available. I'd assume it also has better cooling to accommodate a more powerful card.

Can anyone confirm which power supply it comes with? Annoying that Dell doesn't make it clear.

Just want to say that the kicker atm is the GPU or finding a GPU in stock. Everything else is pretty easy to find. Also why build now when the new Intel is coming out in a few months I would recommend that you wait if you can.

and quickly. Prebuilt market will feel the import duties in about 30-45 days. GPU's are coming air freight and that was felt almost immediately. Prebuilt computers are inventory already in USA prior to expiration of duty exemption. Computer and barebones come in sea freight. That inventory will hit late Feb. Refurb market feels it too. If I buy import laptops 3-4 years old as an example from Canada, and they were built in China 25% duty applies.

Prices for dealers is up too. I am one. All computer components arriving in US after 12/31/20 are no longer exempt from US imposed tariffs on goods of Chinese origin or composed of. This a 25% tax I'm paying and therefore it will be passed to consumer.

For the memory, the large vendors have a set contract price that doesn't fluctuate much based on the spot market. As of now, the spot price is 30% to 40% higher than a typical contract price due to a supply & demand. BTW, the DRAMs are coming from South Korea (Samsung & Hynix) & US (Micron) where those three companies control the price.
