Those $900 to $1,100 RTX 2060 laptop "deals" from November and December are looking that much worse now.

Shame this is only a quad core, otherwise it would be tempting.

I don't recall the spes of that $700 Lenovo laptop you mentioned, but $700 is in a different price tier that this $1,100 one from this post. Based on this $1,100 price, though, I am guessing that there might be Open Box ones in "Excellent Condition" (FWIW) that will be in the $900 to $950 range.

For most people, it won't be. I should clarify my statement - I was speaking for my use case, which won't be mostly gaming.

Intel Core i5-9300HF 2.4GHz (4.10 GHz Turbo) CPU
15.6" 1080p IPS 60Hz Display, 250 nits
12GB (4GB + 8GB) DDR4
512GB PCIe SSD
Nvidia RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6 Graphics

60hz display and older processor were the only drawbacks, but 10% cashback made it pretty tempting... I'll have to see how it is once it arrives.

Yea I got the same Lenovo and it's getting delivered tomorrow. My goal was mostly getting 2060 performance at under $700. I still think that's a solid deal even with the 3000 series coming out. Now if you are comfortable spending $1000 or more; then yea def get the 3000 series but I just wanted something that could handle SteamVR

I would probably buy this is it wasn't for that terrible looking keyboard with a few keys in a different color. Ugly

Jesus, 4 core processor in 2021 for 1.1k, how is this even close to being a good deal?

Sure, you'll get a boost in gaming performance with the 3060 but in the long run with even the consoles rocking 8 core processors, you are sure get bottlenecked sooner rather than later. And of course handicaped in a lot of productivity tasks as well.
