Those thinking like me, "can i add an external GPU down the road?" Nope. This chassis does not have Thunderbolt. Although Lenovo support is funny. Someone asked that same question on their website and they just said "read the specs" -- super help!vomit

For gaming PC, you need a PC with dedicated graphics card. This is good for casual gaming or old titles. The Integrated Graphics on this is more or less equivalent to a Nvidia MX250 Graphics card.

There seems to be a large disconnect between buying a machine pre-made from Lenovo and any customized machine. Customization has a lag time of several months. I just ordered a machine from HP (HP EliteDesk 805 G6 Desktop Mini PC) for about $890 that has similar specs to the Lenovo however, it has 2 m.2 slots, a 4750G (not GE) and it's HDMI and Display Ports are up to snuff (2.0 and 1.4a). Also the lead time at HP was confirmed is usually 2 weeks.

Consider the AMD R7 4750 (or R5 4650) series CPU are OEM only CPU, not retail CPU. One of the benefit for AMD offering OEM-only CPU is there is no need to predict how many to manufacture for possible overstocking. Also AMD does not have to maintain a constant production line and use the resource for other products. Switching back to re-start manufacture is disruptive, cannot commit immediately, only on bulk demand, if the buyer is a VIP partner, how much extra price the partner is willing to pay for expedite service etc.

This how many to manufacture "prediction" now rests on the shoulder of OEM, which is pretty much # of orders based + small cushion.
That might explains why takes so long.

-barebones system. 401.40$ subtotal
-ordered on 2/17
-estimated ship date 7/1

I'm going to wait for a few weeks and see where this goes.

Ordered in January. Twice, they charged my credit card and then refunded. The shipment is expected in June. Terrible service. The only customization was adding a wifi adapter.

Canada deal site indicate a new batch of shipments, hopefully your turns will be soon. But their shipment is from Mexico, and my order in US comes from NC, not sure the same indicator.

I thought wifi is by default included, only removal need customization (at least for me).

Two orders cancelled in the last month. Lenovo is saying these are discontinued at this point. Weird thing is they still let you order them and then just cancel the order 2 weeks later.

Any suggestions for alternatives in this form factor? Was really digging the cpu.

Same here, got the Ryzen 5 pre-built and love it, now wanted a Ryzen 7 and two weeks later my order is cancelled. Posted a new one and it says delivery by October 27 :/
On the phone with a rep she basically repeated everything that's on my order.. so no help there
People on Reddit are being said these PC's are EOL ?!?!

Dell, Lenovo, and HP all make similar 1L enterprise style machines. The HP G6 Prodesk 405 and Elitedesk 805 come to mind. I would assume Dell has a similar offering as well. That said, availability will probably push prices up right now.

These machines would have been EOL'd with the release of the upcoming Zen 3 Ryzen 5xxx Cezanne APUs and matching systems. The processor shortages and supply chain issues from China probably just pushed up the obsolescence date. I would have to imagine by the time they could get another production run of these machines in, they would be into the cycle of the new Zen3 stuff.
