Barf. 🤮 No I don't.
Where are these coupons you speak of, OB1?
Check the mcd app
In the app. If you're not seeing them, even I have no idea. I thought the coupons were national.
I've also had a free Egg McMuffin with a $1 purchase as a daily deal for a couple of weeks, now. Finally figured out I can get a $1 sausage biscuit and make a Sausage Egg McMuffin for $1, then get some jelly for the biscuit as a side. . Or you can just get a $1 drink if you only want the sandwich. I've been getting a hash brown, but they've gotten way too expensive. McDonalds near my work is $1.69. Since they had the Sausage Biscuit & Hash Brown or Sausage McMuffin & Hash Brown for $2 deal, it only made sense to just add 31 cents. But that's when I realized the sausage biscuit was still only $1, which made me think of that combo for the coupon.

One was able to show up at an airport without a booking, 15 minutes before a Flight would depart (People's Express), walk onto the plane, plane would take off, IN THE AIR, a stewardess would come around and ask for IDs and payment for the flight. One time i just had a expired college library card without a photo. they accepted that ID
Before one walked on the plane, they would take your name and addrress, but did not cjeck IDs at that point. Also, you did not need a ticket to get on the plane. You bought a ticket when the plane was in route
The total lack of security of air travel led to the copious amounts of transportation of heroin, cocaine, and weapons, not to mention human trafficking, but yeah, it was easy for people to go on vacation. Perception is everything. The free-for-all, Wild West attitude is great until someone realizes it is a great opportunity to do something sinister, which is human nature. Everyone's looking for a way to take advantage of poorly designed systems.
So yes, one could be on a flight to ID and pay for the ticket but they had to go though the airport contraband check point

We have lots of McDonalds all owned by different people made obvious but the different prices and even in-store promotions. But these coupons work for all of them. There are stipulations that the restaurant must participate, as there are some franchisees that don't want to deal with them. But, I guess it could be regional.
I'm confused on the issue you're having. Do you have to be at the location to see the deals? I've never had that issue. They do want your location so it knows when you are there. It's always been that way since the app came out. They could let you just got a check-in button, but it's all to make sure you are really at the correct location. I did accidentally have the wrong restaurant selected one time, but it saw I was at the wrong restaurant and let me change it. No way to do that with other apps. Had that issue when I thought I had the Taco Bell near my work selected, but it sent it to the one near my house. I had no way of changing it. With that said, though, I have had issues where my GPS must have been off and it would keep saying I wasn't at the restaurant.
