Note the clamp can only accommodate bench thickness up to 2 1/4". Seems like a really good price if that works for you.
Looks like promo code 'SAWDUST' gets you free shipping too!
I think so. Especially since this one mounts from the top, which isn't optimal. Irwin sells one for around the same price (a little cheaper, usually) that I think is a little more useful in this price range.

I don't see a reason for me to remove the vice and would likely permanently mount it to a table.
I'm guessing I might as well skip this and get a permanent one rather than permanent/ portable?
Thoughts? Thanks.

Yes, that's the one. Anyone interested, please keep in mind that this vise is intended to be mounted with screws; there is no quick clamp like the Woodriver one. However, once mounted flush, the Irwin leaves your flat work surface intact.
I have never had any problem on my workbench with mounting a utility vise that takes up a corner top of the bench.
I will see how this OP wood vise works for holding a bow stave while I use a drawknife to rough it out. I like the idea of portability on nice days mount to an outdoor bench.

Even very expensive industrial grade vices come in the screw clamp to table style, because inevitably you want to move it to a better spot every 6 months as projects and workspaces change. It's not like you save money by buying the screw and washers mount vices. There's nothing to gain but hassle. Just get the clamp ones.
