S21+ is a downgrade from S20+ in every category except larger battery. So why would anyone upgrade? Are we dumb or is Sammy crazy??

The primary things a regular consumer cares about in their phone is how nice the screen is, how long the battery lasts, how responsive it is, and how fast their data is. UWB may be a little in the weeds for now, but the others all directly impact the standard UX.
Yes that was what I was trying to say in my original post, it is a little faster and a little more power efficient. You might notice a little better and smoother graphic on the display and maybe some percentage of how long battery last. It boils down to mostly that on most of these items you cited. Meanwhile you loose Sd-card slot and headphone jack. Is it worth $650? It's up to the each user to decide. Do average user need to understand 5nm vs 7nm processor or UWB to really understand that they really need to buy this new product?

The "Sprint T-Mobile" variant will fully work with T-Mobile, right? It's $100 dollars cheaper than the T-Mobile variant.

Edit: Never mind. You need a Sprint account. You lose the $100 discount if you pay in full.

What do you say?

I guess if it doesn't go as planned you could always tell them no and try another rep.
Perhaps tell them you ordered the phone on impulse, and after considering things it wasn't that great a deal and would rather wait for better pricing, and leave it at that. Don't ask for anything. . .let them catch the hook. . .and reel themselves in, instead. . .

yea typical sheep mentality, finding every single excuse to justify whatever Samsung F you with, and denying that there are better alternatives out there.

Yea keep telling yourself that Xiaomi and other CN phones only use fake SD888s, and Samsung will use the real one and its performance will blow other out of water!
Sorry I was being exaggerated. But really I don't think the CN phone brands care about high quality anything, I'm always skeptical they're cheating their way to the top of every leaderboard whether it's quality component integration or benchmarking, I can't side with them. They don't have consumer trust even if they might have the majority marketshare in many places (affordability).

The race to the bottom price doesn't allow for quality. They could have skipped out on needed cooling because they only care about the 1st and 2nd test run for benchmarking and no more. Who knows I suppose until we see the S21 shine or fail the same way? There would be insurmountable backlash if the 888 performed worse and consumed more battery than the 865. I'd probably return my S21 over it!

I bundled s21 ultra 256GB with Galaxy Tab S7+, 128GB. How much do you think I can net after fees from eBay for this tablet (new sealed condition)? Haven't had much luck selling big ticket items locally.

So my total is $1251 (with tax). S21 Ultra with 512GB storage.

I get 10% CB on that total, so

-125

I also have a 100 promo that I screenshotted at the beginning, but at final payment did not apply, spoke to a rep, and they will credit it back once it ships.

-100

I also tried to cancel online and got a 5% keep it bonus, so add that on there

-60

And I am hoping to sell the "freebies" for about 300 in profit.

-300

Phone ends up at about $670, give or take, lets say $700 estimate.

Do you guys think its worth? Or should i wait for the Note 21? Only reason I ask is because I've been using Notes for about 10 years.... Note2, Note 4 and now Note 8 that I need to trade in for this deal.

I'm afraid samsung will come out with a Note 21 in 5 months that will have a mSD slot and a headphone jack, and piss me off Frown

If you don't mind, can you please share the screenshot. That will help a lot of folks who missed the $100 discount.
Also, did you chat or call?
Lastly, how did you get the 5% cancellation trick?

They changed the promo to up to $600 and device payment purchase only, despite the official announcement [verizon.com] stated that "Current customers can save $600 on a Galaxy S21 series phone with select trade-in on select Unlimited plans" and "Up to $1379.99 device payment purchase or full retail purchase w/upgrade on select Unlimited plans req'd. Less $600 trade-in/promo credit applied over 24 mos.; promo credit ends if eligibility req's are no longer met; 0% APR. Trade-in conditions apply."

The promo currently on their website states:

Promo 2

Get up to $600 off this device when you trade in. Upgrade required.

Pick one of these:
Samsung Galaxy S21 5G, Samsung Galaxy S21+ 5G, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G.

And get your trade-in promo credit over 24 or 30 months.

Promo credit may change based on other Unlimited plans.

5G Ultra Wideband available only in parts of select cities. 5G Nationwide available in 1800+ cities. Trade-in conditions apply. Up to $1379.99 device payment purchase per phone required. Select Unlimited plans required. Less up to $600 trade-in/promo credit applied over 24 or 30 months; promo credits end if eligibility requirements are no longer met. 0% APR.
Thanks for the heads up guys. The Verizon offer seems to be a phenomenal one. I was planning on getting 2 phones for my kids who are using 3 year Pixel 2 phones on their last legs (batteries barely hold a charge). Street value barely $50 per phone but I traded them in to Verizon for $600 each. Know I have to stick with Verizon for 24 months to get the full tradein value, but I have been with them for 10 years already and have no plans to switch soon. Amazing offer. Need to look for cases now.

Pre- order credit shows applied but don't see it posted.

Also what's the best credit card to use to get this?

*sigh* No, it's not "a little" faster, this is one of the biggest steps in yearly Snapdragon revisions, along with the other things I've gone over. If you don't care about those improvements, that's okay, this is a premium device not marketed towards casual users like you.

You know how when you first set up your phone, it asks if you want to enable usage reporting? That's how Samsung decided which features to cut in an effort to bring prices down while still maintaining a high quality build and UX. Most people don't use an SD card or a 3.5mm jack in the year 2021.

Especially for people that have been on the upgrade path for Samsung, this is a great deal, considering it'll most likely be worth $550 for trade in when the S23 comes out in 2 years. So yeah, spending $650 is definitely worth it when the actual net cost is $100 to have a top of the line premium phone for 2 years.

anyone able to add the S21 unlocked 256GB to cart? it appears to be in stock but when you go to use the $100 credit to add an accessory and it finally goes to cart, an error will pop up saying it's OOS.
