S21+ is a downgrade from S20+ in every category except larger battery. So why would anyone upgrade? Are we dumb or is Sammy crazy??

Do you guys think it's worth the extra $130 or so to get 512 gb storage and more importantly 16 gb ram vs 12 gb ram in the other Ultra configurations? I pre-ordered the 256 gb / 12 gb version yesterday but debating if I should have went with max ram. I'm less concerned with the extra storage. Seems like 16 gb might be overkill though. I'm upgrading from an S9+.
Overkill. I went from a 12gb ram phone back to 6gb with the S20 FE and it's rarely noticeable unless I'm doing ALOT. Switching back to 8gb with S21+ should eliminate any differences all together. I regularly play games, have several apps open, and a dozen+ browser tabs in chrome.

I honestly might just cancel my pre-order. I currently have an S10e, excellent condition. $550 trade-in value + $150 accessories is super enticing, but I'm still not sure if it's even worth spending $250 on an "upgrade" to an S21.

One of the big selling points for Galaxy phones and are part of the reason I told people I loved mine was for the MST. Almost nowhere has mobile payments that actually work, but with MST you could pay with your phone almost everywhere.

Pros of going to S21:
- Bigger battery
- Better camera
- Software
- Display refresh rate

Cons:
- No headphone jack
- No MST
- No expandable storage (not really that big of a deal for me anyways)
- Form factor/size better with S10e, IMO

so, idk... added accessories/free stuff is kind just a bunch of unneccessary toys to me. Will the S21 even be worth much for trade-in in a year or two?
Also an S10 owner. I generally upgrade to the new Galaxy device every two years, but this year's phone is a major disappointment. Still trying to decide what to do but I am heavily leaning towards ditching Samsung this time around.

Thank you! Even on my S9+ with 6gb ram, I'm usually averaging under 4gb at any given time. I just wanted to be somewhat future proofed, and it sounds like 12 gb will be more than plenty!

Don't forget the hardware button the the S10e that you can remap to launch the flashlight, assistant, etc. Also, the fingerprint scanner is way better on the e.

That said, you'll never ever get $550 back for your e, plus all the bonuses. I ended up doing it with my S10 because I'm going to need to upgrade next year anyway due to battery degredation.

20x points is 20% back in credit that you can use through P@W, not quite cashback per se. The points are based on the pre-tax subtotal after all discounts, so the amount you get back will depend on what other discounts and trade-in you have.
Thanks. But is there any instant discount going through perks@work?

Not sure why anyone would buy them on eBay for over $150 when there is a promo trade in running now combined with discount you can get the Bud Pro's for $149.99 with trade in of any wired or wireless pair of headsets. Most people have some crappy apple ear buds lying around. I am thinking once these start spilling over to eBay from people trying to ditch them for $ from their bundle might be low $100's.

$ 199.99 - ( $20 Education Discount) - eligible trade-in $30 Wired Head Set
Save $50
$149.99
Can you do this without pre-ordering the S21? I.e. anyone can go to samsung and buy the Pro with a discount outside the S21 promo. I have my wired AKG from my S8 and no named brand wireless laying around in my office.

Only 20X for me.
Yeah, non-5 star users get 20x max.

For those who are saying 2x, make sure you are on the perks at work samsung page, and click mobile. To confirm, when it sends you to the actual samsung mobile site, check what it says you are earning on the transition splash screen

U also get 5G and additional years of OS and security updates. Also much faster experience on paper due to UFS 2.1 vs 3.1 file system

Is anyone else not seeing their order on RK10 for the 10% cashback? I see my Samsung shopping trips but nothing indicating I ordered. I made sure to disable my ad locker and I ordered right through the tab it opened from RK10. It also worked just fine last year when I ordered a S20 Ultra. Should I contact them or wait until the order ships?
Same issue here. I've cancelled and reordered 4 times trying to get perksatwork and urlhasbeenblocked to register. Used the urlhasbeenblocked browser extension and it even says I earned cash back after the purchase, but it never shows up. I've pretty much given up...

The s10e was a entry level device, not sure how it compares to the S21. $250 is a steal to upgrade and take $150 in free stuff. Seems like a no brainer to me.
And why do people keep complaining about a freaking headphone jack??? Who doesn't use BT?
It's like complaining that you can't get dial up internet.

Don't forget that the unlocked version does not have carrier active items like wifi calling, which I need at my house and many other places due to poor cell service. I would absolutely be on unlocked version if all features were available on it.
Thank you for this note about unlocked phone having no wifi calling. I now have an S8, unlocked without wifi call and I need that now - time to decide which carrier to buy. I'm now on ATT, but will switch to Ting, then back to ATT prepaid...

My Wow Points lists Samsung and Samsung Mobile with different (2x and 20x) point values for some reason. Do a search for Samsung on the site and see if you get 20x.
Good point.. Or type in S21 under search and you might see Samsung and Samsung Mobile.

I don't think that's 100% true. I have a US unlocked S10e and it supports wifi calling on T-Mobile. just checked and wifi calling is one of the options under connection.

Does anyone know if there is a difference in 5G & 4G LTE bands between the Unlocked version and the carrier locked version? (S21 - Specifically AT&T).

Would like to get the AT&T version (currently on AT&T) to get the VoLTE and Visual Voicemail working out of the box but want to be able to use it on different network without any missing bands down the road. Can't find this info anywhere else.

Any help, thoughts would be highly appreciated. Thanks much.
