Just a side note, this year, the Batteries in the S series were outsourced to some no name China battery maker to reduce costs rather then being made by Samsung like in the past years. So maybe some of these S21 batteries dont have a constant qualify levels.... resulting in mixed battery lives..

Started at $540 a few days ago when it had shipped 8 followers. Not that many on eBay mostly by retailers and preowned ones. Most buyers made offers in mid $400's had auto decline on for under $470 so never alerted but shows on the offers page. I think the blacks are going for less and not that many bronze or silver on eBay. Kept lowering price then this morning lowered from 499 to 489+ Shipping and it went in few hours. Wanted to get rid of it before the dumps from this promo start so Good Luck!
Just wait for the Buds Pro to dump along with the other accessories others realize they don't want or need.
I am trying to sell locally. And I have bronze color.
And Yes I agree once people get their orders, market will be flooded with these.

Any reliable info besides "it might be supplied by China"? It's more like a rumor than confirmed.

I come from a S20 FE so for me a S21 is an upgrade in almost every way. For you? I think you should hold on to that phone until the S22. Your S20 will still hold a pretty good trade in value (if history is any indication, Samsung will offer you 550-600 next year for it) and tbh the Ultra will be a small upgrade even if you dont care about the SD card and the MFT features.

My two cents is that if you are coming from a S10, this would be a good upgrade for the trade in. S20? Keep it for another year.

I will say the trade in promotion is pretty enticing. If my cash back holds and my 50 dollar cancellation credit is honored, I will get the S21 + Active 2 watch for 135 dollars (260-25 rk -50 PAW - 50 cancellation credit).

That's hard to beat.
I really appreciate this perspective, and I think it's helped me cool the jets a little bit. Hard not to get swept up in upgrade fever, especially stacking a lot of promotions. But you make a good point. I originally was hoping to just go S20->S21 at a wash, but seeing all the S21 downgrades, the only upgrade would've been to the S21U. I think you are right though that when the S22 line comes, Samsung will likely launch a similar pre-order/trade promo for which my S20 will hold value pretty well. I think I'll sit on the sidelines until then.

Obviously Samsung has been doing a lot of cost cutting to be able to offer these types of deal on a newly launched phone.

Its not much of a concern as long as Samsung keeps offering these deals and you upgrade each year. Though If you have a Note20 Ultra, the upgrade doesn't make too much sense as it seems like you are losing as much as you are gaining while paying at the same time.

Selling things locally really depends on the area. You can't expect to get the same as some other people.

Are you sure it's lease phone or if it's EIP phone. I believe EIP is different with lease phone (Jump on demand ) that you can trade EIP in
Yes, I have an 18 month lease on a SWAC plan. They are basically giving me the phone free after bill credits. The Premium SWAC plan is only $40 and you get Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Tidal Hi-Fi and 100GB hotspot. I keep it just for all that. I am hoping I can stick the T-Mobile S21 Ultra on it for 40 or 60 days to get it unlocked without any hassle since I have 7 more months of bill credits anyway on the current S20+.

Even if it doesn't work out, its crazy T-Mobile doesn't make Samsung verify any account to buy the T-Mobile version. It is worth the extra $100 savings risk to me anyways.
