Ugh, FedEx came right as my wife was leaving the house. Didn't flag her down. Left doortag. I called localmfscikity and provided tracking number, and the automated system said it was not eligible to be picked up. do any of you have experience with this? Is it true that I cannot pick it up at a facility and have to just try to magically be home sometime before 8:00 p.m. tomorrow?
Yes, It's true that you cannot pick up this missed delivery until this missed delivery is put to Fedex system.

Question: What's happen if I miss a delivery?
FedEx: If you missed your delivery, FedEx may make 2 more attempts to deliver your package (for a total of 3 attempts) or for residential addresses, it may be redirected to a nearby FedEx or FedEx OnSite location for customer pickup. FedEx will hold your package for up to 10 days for FedEx Ground® and 5 days for FedEx Express® service before it is returned to the shipper. If you need your package urgently, there are several options that may be available to you:
Pick up at a FedEx location (FedEx Office, authorized FedEx pickup location, etc).
Sign the door tag left by the driver and leave it in a visible location for the driver. Visit our Help Center for more information on door tags or you can view this helpful video .
If the delivery address is a residence, you can use FedEx Delivery Manager® to customize your deliveries to have your packages delivered when and where you want them.

Why the trade-in for S-20 FE is only 550, whereas all other S-20, the trade-in is 700. Any particular reason for it ?

It's so stupid. My delivery estimate is only "by 8:00pm." That means I literally have to be home al day waiting for a package to sign.

Why would I not be able to pick it up at the station after 6:30 (that is what the hangar says)?

I'll try signing the door tag.

I tried using Fedex Delivery manager, but it does not provide any helpful options

I don't understand why Fedex can't give driver locations like Amazon does.

The original price of S20 is more than S20 FE.

Cause the S20FE is the gimped budget version. Not a flagship = no flagship trade-in value.

You know you're in the last quarter of a deal when people are debating FedEx signatures...

A signature was required for my delivery but the driver used my face to 'sign'. Of course, they misspelled my name.

On a side note, It looks like after all this is said and done, I will be out the door with an Ultra 128, tag, cover, fast charger, Buds pro for $470 without RK or $415 if that comes through (doubtful)

Because the FE is a cheaper/inferior device to the regular S20.

Folks, my S21 phantom violet box is sitting in my office now. Its about 1:45pm in Richardson, TX so I will open it tonight. I highly doubt the buds are in there as well but we shall see. Took FedEx about half a day to deliver from neighboring city Plano, TX. When the person handed me the package, I asked them about signature requirement and the response was they do require "signature" or they would leave you a tag. Due to COVID, they would verify your name and type in their handheld system without you signing for it. For those whose wondering about how to do the tradein (first time doing this myself). I printed out the label and noticed the tradein receiving address for the phone is in Fort Worth (40 miles away from me). Samsung email also gives you send-in by date and mine happens to be Feb 10th. I still have my original S8 box with me and it only dawned on me that I can reuse the box from S21 to send the phone off! Good luck to all in getting the phone on time. I will certainly enjoy mine. 😁

I suggest you meet at a police station or else carry a weapon of some sort. Not to scare you but you never know.
I agree 100%. Especially something this expensive and brand new. They can literally snatch it off your hands and jet or worse, hurt you in the process. I would just sell it online and pay a small fee.

I posted in the verizon thread.

It's illegal for anyone to access your mailbox other than you or USPS. just FYI.
Ever heard of "rules are meant to be broken". If thieves want to steal something, they won't care how illegal it is. I have had Discover send me empty checks in the mail for so long its ridiculous, finally stopped years later. Some Youtubers even went as far as designing a package packed with nasty surprises and a camera to film the thieves in action when they open it at home. Teenagers, adults, men, women, you name it. Just took it without hesitation.

My unlocked S21 arrived today, and it doesn't have any SIM card in it.

Before I order, Samsung rep told me it comes with an AT&T sim card in it. Did they lied?

I am on AT&T, do I need to run to an AT&T store and get a SIM card?

Thanks

Unlocked doesnt come with Sim card. Use the sim in your current phone, no need to get a new one.

Although, sometimes a new version SIM helps. I remember reading that Tmobile has newer SIMs that work better with 5g.

Unlocked phones don't come with carrier sims. You would need to obtain one from your carrier if you need one. Only ATT carrier version includes a sim.

Why would an unlocked phone come with an AT&T sim card? I would assume only the AT&T version comes with an AT&T sim card.

Are you guys having the same conversation? I thought he was pointing out that FedEx can't deliver packages to your mailbox.
