Is the finger print scanner working for everyone? It doesn't work for me even without any protector. Have to stick with the pin. First failure discovered. The second is the battery consumption, it is so much worse than my S10 and it is supposed to have larger battery. I guess whatever new parts that they put in consume more power.
Can't speak to the fingerprint, but mine works great. I assume you're registering all your fingerprints correctly? I only did one finger per slot, so 4 total fingers, and I haven't had any issues. And I'm using a screen protector. You can also try to register the same finger on multiple slots for better accuracy. Much better than my S10 and larger area to put finger.

The battery life is okay, definitely using more power, but I've been setting up all my accounts and such, so that might be why. I think it's gotten better the last day or so once the software updated and settled in.

I just got this about an hour ago:

Galaxy S21 5G 128GB (T-Mobile)
Trade in: S20

Trade-In Discount(s)-$725.00
Bundle Discount(s)-$159.95
Referral Discount(s)-$12.75
Workplace Discount-$25.46
Promo Code - 50LATESTGALAXY5G-$50.00
Promo Code - CS_50_LATESTGALAXY_5G-$50.00

So basically S21 came out to $67.68 and there was $150 accessories credit. I think some of the workplace discount were from some of the accessories.

RK 10% should give $6.76 back. After taxes that will net right around $70.

I'm not sure how far off that was from the preorder deals.

Obviously the Ultra is the better phone spec-wise, but what are people choosing? I ordered both and am now leaning towards the standard because I like using my phone with one hand and doesn't seem possible with the Ultra.

What kind of screen protector? I'm using a glass one and it definately has made my fingerprint reader work about 25 percent of the time.

For me Ultra is not worth as

a) I don't use it to take pictures. I have a Sony Alpha III for that. And for casual outing, S21 PQ serves me well.
b) I mostly use my phone to check emails and browse. So speed is not an issue.
c) Since I use a case, back of the phone does not matter to me. Glass or Glasstic.
c) I will be flipping for S22/S23 in a year or so . Both Ultra and S21 will be getting the same trade-in discount if past is any indication.

I have a the $1 DeltaShield one that was listed on SD. I actually like it. I prefer glass, but this is plenty good minus the drop protection. Not sticky like some PET style protectors.

Thinking of returning my s21, didn't like it too much. I didn't feel there are many upgrades even comparing to my s8. It's basically the same phone with some extra hardware.

Ultra for me. First, I like the larger screen. Just as importantly, 8GB of RAM is not enough for me. Lastly, without an SD card, 512GB is the bare minimum I need for storage.

Talked to 2 reps over chat, none would offer 10% discount. Only $50 promo code... Oh well. Anyone had any success recently (first time chatting with rep as supposed to coming back for the 10% refund that they promised earlier)?

So, If I got $100 credit, can I use the link my friend got for $200 credit and plug my code in the link, and get $200?

I just called, asked to return the phone and got no offer of a discount. I cited the lack of SD card.

I didn't want to commit fully to the return because I don't know how it impacts the trade in.

If I commit to the cancel, and then they offer no discount can I still send in the trade in?
If you cancel then change your mind, you still send the trade in but it will affect your trade in process. It will take longer to evaluate your trade in because your trade in is off the sytem. Finally you will receive your trade in credit (they don't charge you).
This is what I get the answer from the SUPERVISOR of CS when I tried to do the Return trick on SS app, the return is approved automatic when I press the cancel button. I chat with CS, told them I accidentally cancel. They told me don't worry just send the trade in. When I pressed them to make sure it won't affect the trade in, they told me they will elevate to their suppervisor then they confirm it will affect my trade in process. I ask them with the evaluation time is longer if they reject my trade in when the return time(15 days) is over can I make a return?. They said I cannot then they advise me it's better to return then re order.

You're pretty much getting it for free if you sell the accessories?
