Did you use the $250 accessories credit at purchase or afterwards? And which phone did you trade-in? P@W won't give me the points.

For those having issues with battery life I thought I would report that removing the apps I didn't want in adb created a ~50% increase in battery life. This is much more than i usually see on Samsung phones with this type of app removal.

I suspect something was misbehaving. Hopefully Samsung will fix that with a future app or OS update.

What apps did you remove? Wouldn't putting these apps to deep sleep (when in background) does the same thing?

I didn't make a list but I removed ~30-40 apps that couldn't be removed without adb.

Many of the apps I removed are background services that run all the time. Keep in mind, I didn't remove them to gain battery life, I removed them because I didn't want them on my phone. The extra battery life is just a bonus.

That being said, the point I was trying to make is that while removing apps always results in some battery savings, 50% is an abnormal amount to get from that effort. That is why I think there is something wrong on the software side causing too much passive battery usage.

While it sounds negative, I think it is actually a good thing because it means it can be fixed with software updates.

When did you purchase getting $250 accessories credit? Is this credit still available now?

I got an email stating that my perks at work account got funded with the points. This is the first time I used perks at work. What is the best way to use these points or monetize them. I was thinking of getting best buy cards but looking for some guidance

The SmartThings app uses battery constantly.
If used, Removing it or force stop should help with battery life.

So I'm a SmartThings user and I looked at my battery usage within the last week and it's usually between 0.2% - 0.5% per day, 1 day was 1.2%.

For those of you who got the Tab S7 or S7+, how are you wirelessly connecting to your PC or laptop to transfer files? I had been using the MyPhoneExplorer (MPE) app since the early 2010s and it's been very reliable. But on my S21 Ultra, I noted that the Link to Phone is also now very good (more limited on my old Note8), but not as customizable with file transfers as MyPhoneExplorer, where I can create specific instructions for particular folders (say Camera pictures, Screenshots, PDF files, WhatsApp Pics, etc.) However, Link to Phone does not work for the Tab S7+. So I am only using MPE to wirelessly connect to the PC.

i am still stuck with a running an ftp server on the phone [google.com] then using total commander [ghisler.com] in the pc to connect to the ftp server and copying over files.

I copy over a bunch of photos onto my phone every time and this is the only way I can reliably have the file timestamps correct for display in google photos go app

You should take a look at MPE. Once you connect to the PC by wifi or Bluetooth, under Files, you can customize your uploads (or downloads) to indicate which folder contents you want to transfer over and also to which target folder in the destination. Also have the option to delete transferred files so they won't take space in your phone. It's been a great tool that I donated to the programmer as there are frequent version updates. However, I was asking because I wondered if there's anything new others are using.

How much is BestBuy charging you for their gift card of $100 lets say. Unless you plan on giving it to someone, I wouldn't purchase any gift cards and pay a premium on top of the sales tax. If my memory serves me correctly, when you click on a merchant website within PAW, (Doesn't have to be BBuy as it will also apply to other participating merchants), it will ask you if you want to pay with points. There is no expiration date on the points. I waited 2 years to use that on my S8 purchase from BBuy. You have to pay the full price when checking out. PAW will process your WOW points and credit your CC later. If anyone knows that is incorrect, please chime in.
