There is a mod alert button you can use to alert the mods of the repost instead of replying with "Repost". Also, the OP in this thread took the time to provide links, which is probably why your post was created first. Word of advice though, people like links. It would also help if you said it was for the Switch in your post as well.

Hey good for you. Good luck playing those games outside of your home with that PC. Do you bust out another set of mouse and keyboard when someone in your home wants to play with you or do they have to pay for another $1000 PC (at least) just to be able to do couch co-op?

Remember, if you accidentally put in an Oregon zip code on your Switch, Nintendo won't know to charge you tax, so make sure that doesn't happen.

I own a switch with many, many games. Just bought one yesterday. We're not all filthy pirates. There are many advantages to using an emulator!!

Not sure if this will help as some of the items picked might not be a good match but this is a good place to start. I know I personally go to this website when I find a game or genre that I like and want to find more games similar to what I enjoy. You can adjust the filters and whatnot as you see fit. Let me know if this helps! Good luck!

Side note: I selected the Nintendo switch as the specific platform but you can change that to whatever console/PC you want.
Thanks I'll give it a look.

Mario maker 2 worth $42? Is building levels too difficult for a 7-year old child? Thanks in advance.
I pulled the trigger on it for my 5 1/2 y.o. twins and they LOVE it. They were fans of the first one but they could barely contain themselves with this one. Much laughter and giggles all day long. Totally worth it.

Specifically from the list, I really enjoyed:

Shinsekai into the Depths*
Katamari Damacy REROLL
BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL!
Divinity: Original Sin 2
Splatoon 2

The games I picked up, but aren't in this list.

Tricky Towers
Tales of Vesperia
CrossCode

*I played this on Apple Arcade, not the Switch.

It's one of the few modern video games worth full price at $60. Best game for the Switch console. My now 8-year old son has made almost 100 creative and fun levels over the past year in Mario Maker 2, so yes, great for a 7-year old, or even a 38-year old!

The idea is that some day (say in 20 years), a couple of console generations down the road, when eshop is gone, etc you still have means to play those games even if the hardware may have long malfunctioned. I still pull out DosBox to play some old games that I grew up with as a kid. I love emulators. Right now it doesn't make much sense, it's more to preserve the ability to play old games.

Mods, if you're going to merge my post with this one please at least add the game I posted to the OP's post. I don't see Ghostbusters listed in the OP and it didn't show up as a deal alert that I had set when the OP posted this thread. How are people supposed to get deal alerts if their key words aren't in the posting?

Tricky Towers for 7.49 is a great value. (50% off)

My family of 4 love to play it altogether on the couch. Kids are 7 and 10. It's Tetris but with balancing and building upwards to form the tallest tower rather than make blocks disappear.
