T-Mobile is offering the new S21 series for up to $800 off with trade-in. Preorders are available now and phones launch on the 29th. $800 off makes the S21 free, the S21+ $200, and the S21 Ultra $400.

To clear up some confusion, the website will show an inherent value of the device you're trading in. For example, $90. That will be credited to your account as a one-time bill credit upon receipt of the trade-in device. Then, the remainder of the promotional credit (for this example, $710) will be spread out as a monthly bill credit over the length of the 24 month EIP. This is always how T-Mobile trade-in promos have worked.

Trade-in Values:
  • $800 off:
    • Apple: iPhone 11 series, X, XR, XS series
    • Samsung: Galaxy S10 series, S20 series, S20 FE, Note 20 series, Note 10 series, S9 series, Note 9 series
    • Google: Pixel 4a series, Pixel 4 series
    • OnePlus: 8 5G, 8T+, 7T Pro
    • LG: V60, Velvet, Wing
  • $400 off:
    • Apple: iPhone 8 series, SE 2
    • Samsung: Galaxy A71, S8 series, Note 8 series
    • Google: Pixel 3a series, Pixel 3 series
    • OnePlus: 7 Pro, 7T, 7
    • LG: V50, G8
  • $200 off:
    • Apple: iPhone 7 series
    • Samsung: Galaxy A51, S7 series, S6 series
    • Google: Pixel series, Pixel 2 series
    • OnePlus: 6T, 6
    • LG: V40

BOGO offer
Customers without a trade-in can also get a BOGO deal. Buy any of the S21 devices, add a line to your account, and get a second device free via bill credits.

----------
UPDATE: The Samsung preorder bonuses can be redeemed when the phone is purchased via T-Mobile.
----------

All promos require a 24mo EIP.

Plus, customers that pickup a new Samsung device can get 50% off any of the Galaxy Buds from T-Mobile.

Samsung Accessory Credit Applies to this.

Up to $200 in Samsung.com credit towards any Samsung.com product and a free Galaxy SmartTag, redeemable through the Shop Samsung app.
Samsung Galaxy S21 5G = $100 Samsung.com credit
Samsung Galaxy S21+ 5G = $150 Samsung.com credit
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G = $200 Samsung.com credit

Not sure if the $60 samsung.com accessory credit for pre-registration also applies?

Process To redeem this offer:
1. If the eligible device pre-ordered from any authorized-retailers (like T-Mobile) between 1/14/2021 – 1/28/2021, you can avail the Samsung Credit worth $100 for Galaxy S21 5G, $150 for Galaxy S21+ 5G and $200 for Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G.
2. In order to avail the offer, you need to register the offer through Shop Samsung app from the new device once it's delivered
3. The redemption period is from 1/27/2021 – 2/28/2021

S21 vs S20:

* Glass to plastic.
* No more SD card support.
* No more headphone jack (S20 didn't have this feature either)
* No more MST support for Samsung Pay... literally the only feature that set it apart from Google Pay and Apple Pay is gone.
* Box doesn't include headphones anymore.
* Box doesn't include charger anymore (but a USB-C cable is included).
* Display downgraded from 1440p to 1080p.
* Screens are now flat.

If you doubt the total amount of credits you may be getting, simply ask Tmobile. I ordered with S9 trade-in, page showed me $80 of credit. I verified with Tmobile through the app. No need to ask 100 times in this thread. See image.

FAQ for T-Mobile Trade In:

https://www.t-mobile.com/resource...e-trade-in

I changed my mind. Can I get my old device back?

Device trade-in transactions are final. After you accept the trade-in credit and send us your phone, you cannot get it back.

Can I pay off my current phone with EIP, get this deal, and still keep those prior bill credits coming: YMMV
https://community.t-mobile.com/ac...=TMDesktop
From T-mobile: You can keep both
"How Recurring Device Credits (RDC) work:
To receive Recurring Device Credits (RDC), you must purchase your device on EIP and meet any other requirements of the promotion.
You may have one Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo per line at a time. To get a new Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo and keep your current credit, you must pay off the existing EIP first.
If you pay off your EIP early, you'll continue to receive the promised Recurring Device Credits (RDC) as an account-level credit through the remaining months of the promotional credit period (up to 24 or 36 months)."

For people who don't know how to claim that up to $200 credit through the Shop Samsung App: Tap the three-bar icon at the left top and choose "in-box". You will see inside it has a link like "see if I am qualified". Click that and enter your IMEI. If you are qualified you can follow the steps to fill out your information and upload the receipt

*edit* stop putting the Samsung watch for $23 in here. Its CLEARLY not a deal and requires ANOTHER watch as a trade in. Thanks**

Reply to above: The galaxy watch3 with trade in is a solid deal that matches this frontpage deal .
Link to frontpage Galaxy watch3 deal.

I would not promote a deal that I did not think was slick myself. I bought 4 Galaxy Watch3 which came to 23$ each after trade in and 100$ accessory credit. My trade-in cost me 70$ on ebay + tax. So $23 + 70$ = 93$ for Watch3 excluding taxes.

Steps to replicate

To answer some of the many questions about the low trade-in value shown. I have done this sorts of trade-in with T-Mobile before, It's a 2 part deal, It doesn't show the full $800 amount, THAT'S NORMAL.

PART 1.The official trade-in value you see during the process is less than the $800 offer, because that's the trade-in value that Assurant (the phone goes to them not directly to T-Mobile,) pays for said phone. The Trade-In "agreement" is for the Assurant value amount.

PART 2. Once Assurant has received, assessed and accepted the trade-in, T-Mobile adds the difference in the form of bill credits to total the amount of the Promo.
So it shows Trade-In value $80, yes, that's what Assurant will be paying for the phone. T-Mobile will add $720 to that and spread it all out in credits for a 24 months term. A couple of days after submitting the trade-in, your account should show the promo in the EIP section. The promo name will be shown there and "Pending Trade-In".

Voila.
Awesome deal for my S9. Wonder if Costco comes up with rebate deal instead of this EIP deal. Prefer outright deal.
Reading is hard in this thread apparently. Lol.

Oh man, $800 for my S9 plus would be hella good 🤔. Although at first look I think I like the S20 design better, but time to dig in a bit more
