To answer some of the many questions about the low trade-in value shown. I have done this sorts of trade-in with T-Mobile before, It's a 2 part deal, It doesn't show the full $800 amount, THAT'S NORMAL.

PART 1.The official trade-in value you see during the process is less than the $800 offer, because that's the trade-in value that Assurant (the phone goes to them not directly to T-Mobile,) pays for said phone. The Trade-In "agreement" is for the Assurant value amount.

PART 2. Once Assurant has received, assessed and accepted the trade-in, T-Mobile adds the difference in the form of bill credits to total the amount of the Promo.
So it shows Trade-In value $80, yes, that's what Assurant will be paying for the phone. T-Mobile will add $720 to that and spread it all out in credits for a 24 months term. A couple of days after submitting the trade-in, your account should show the promo in the EIP section. The promo name will be shown there and "Pending Trade-In".

Voila.

Awesome deal for my S9. Wonder if Costco comes up with rebate deal instead of this EIP deal. Prefer outright deal.

I also have an S20FE from the recent T-Mobile EIP deal, which comes with 24 months of bill credits.

Can someone confirm that I can pay off the remaining balance, continue to receive the remaining bill credits until all 24 months are completed, trade-in the S20FE for the S21 using a different line, and receive 24 months of bill credits for the S21?

Thank you,
Tofu Vic
this is my understanding from previous promos. one line cannot have more than one "phone" promo. say your s20fe is receiving the monthly credits on line 1, you can pay off the EIP for that phone and you'll still get the monthly credits. you can trade in your s20fe to get the s21, but have to use line 2 in order to get the monthly credits.

Bought a Pixel 4A for $200 from the Walmart deal, looks like it's going to traded in for this.
Youd get more bang for your buck by buying an old s9 and trading that in for this phone. Your Pixel 4a is worth well over $250.

I considered the same deal as I also got the Vertex Wireless 4a. Just bought case and screen protectors for it too laugh out loud

I've looked into that before and I'm nearly positive that you can do that. I think you just need to be careful to not cancel the line of service that the bill credits are on or then you'll lose them.

So I have a S20 FE. I trade it in to get the S21, which would get me $350 back now, and $18.75/mo credit for 24 months. Now fast forward to next year, and another phone comes out that also has a trade in like this. If I trade in the S21, I would still get the credits from my S20 FE trade in correct?

Probably a stupid question but can I trade in multiple phones towards a single phone?
nope. that was never an option. no carrier do that from my understanding.

If my S9+ has a small crack in the screen Im assuming they would deduct from the $800?
There's no deduction. They keep your phone and you get nothing.

Thinking to trade in my main daily driver S9+.
But resolution on s21 is a downgrade, and loses microSD.

I just paid off my 2 EIPs a couple months ago and still received bill credits. You will continue to receive credits as long as you're not cancel the service, and may only have one monthly promo credit per line at a time. So you should be good if the the trade-in line does not have a bill credit. Check out the FAQs at the bottom of the page https://www.t-mobile.com/offers/p...onaloffers

I had a similar question too. Can you have two active promotions/bill credits on the same line?

I thought I read that you could in another thread, but wanted to make sure.
Was told you can pay the phone off so eip is removed and you would still receive bill credits. However you should pre-order under a different number to make sure you get the bill credits for this phone and make sure it won't cancel the other. Got this answer from tmobile forums
