To answer some of the many questions about the low trade-in value shown. I have done this sorts of trade-in with T-Mobile before, It's a 2 part deal, It doesn't show the full $800 amount, THAT'S NORMAL.

PART 1.The official trade-in value you see during the process is less than the $800 offer, because that's the trade-in value that Assurant (the phone goes to them not directly to T-Mobile,) pays for said phone. The Trade-In "agreement" is for the Assurant value amount.

PART 2. Once Assurant has received, assessed and accepted the trade-in, T-Mobile adds the difference in the form of bill credits to total the amount of the Promo.
So it shows Trade-In value $80, yes, that's what Assurant will be paying for the phone. T-Mobile will add $720 to that and spread it all out in credits for a 24 months term. A couple of days after submitting the trade-in, your account should show the promo in the EIP section. The promo name will be shown there and "Pending Trade-In".

Voila.

Awesome deal for my S9. Wonder if Costco comes up with rebate deal instead of this EIP deal. Prefer outright deal.

Any idea if this trade in would accept broken screen phone that is part of the trade in list?

I just paid off my 2 EIPs a couple months ago and still received bill credits. You will continue to receive credits as long as you're not cancel the service, and may only have one monthly promo credit per line at a time. So you should be good if the the trade-in line does not have a bill credit. Check out the FAQs at the bottom of the page https://www.t-mobile.com/offers/p...onaloffers
Someone on reddit posted to proof they receive multi phone monthly promo on one line. Again I see mix answer. I also want to confirm if this will be the same for Sprint customer.

Nice deal.. I am ordering for free replacing my S10e.
Are we sure the s10e is included at $800 TIV? I saw at least for the s20 line that they noted separately both "s20 series" and "S20 FE"

I'm having a Galaxy Note 8 and looks like $400 is the highest I've seen in the last year. Is this the best promo to trade-in and buy a new one? I see many people waiting for Costco offers. Will Costco generally give better offers?

Bill credit!! HARD PASSSS

So, if I trade in an XS, I get for example $100 upfront while the vast majority ($700) would be bill credits over 24 months? If so, it is not a great deal. A good deal would be getting the lion's share of the $800 trade in really soon (not over 24 months), and then cancelling the monthly plan at no extra cost/ no penalty.
LOL. Do you really think any carrier is going to allow you to trade in an old phone for a new flagship model without any strings attached? Without a doubt, they are going to set the terms so that you cannot cancel service after a few months and walk away with a new phone for cheap.

This approach isn't anything new. I don't like bill credits either, but at least this round they are not requiring you to add a line.

Your best hope is that Costco will offer this deal too. But in all likelihood the trade-in values will be substantially lower since there would not be any bill credits by buying from Costco.

does anyone have a referral code that works? I've tried a few and no success yet. I am using the education discount already so I dont know if it can be stacked.
Referral codes only work on new accounts. Create a new account and should work.

I currently have 2 promos on my account under the same line, iPhone SE 2020 and iPhone 12 Mini.... No issues, both phones have been paid off.

Yes, you can received multiple promo for 1 line, but not EIP bill credit. This is what I found at Tmobile support site: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...al-credits
"You can have more than one promotional credit per line at a time as long as the promotions are allowed to be combined."
"You may have one Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo per line at a time. To get a new Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo and keep your current credit, you must pay off the existing EIP first."

I've been with T-Mobile for multiple years and have done numerous promotions that revolve around bill credits. Doesn't bother me at all. I don't plan to leave TMO anytime soon since they give me the most bang for my buck in terms of service.

Exactly. You can have multiple RDCs running as long as the device(s) are paid off and you don't cancel the line they started on.
