S21 vs S20:
* Glass to plastic.
* No more SD card support.
* No more headphone jack (S20 didn't have this feature either)

For people who don't know how to claim that up to $200 credit through the Shop Samsung App: Tap the three-bar icon at the left top and choose "in-box". You will see inside it has a link like "see if I am qualified". Click that and enter your IMEI. If you are qualified you can follow the steps to fill out your information and upload the receipt

I would not promote a deal that I did not think was slick myself. I bought 4 Galaxy Watch3 which came to 23$ each after trade in and 100$ accessory credit. My trade-in cost me 70$ on ebay + tax. So $23 + 70$ = 93$ for Watch3 excluding taxes.

PART 1.The official trade-in value you see during the process is less than the $800 offer, because that's the trade-in value that Assurant (the phone goes to them not directly to T-Mobile,) pays for said phone. The Trade-In "agreement" is for the Assurant value amount.
PART 2. Once Assurant has received, assessed and accepted the trade-in, T-Mobile adds the difference in the form of bill credits to total the amount of the Promo.
So it shows Trade-In value $80, yes, that's what Assurant will be paying for the phone. T-Mobile will add $720 to that and spread it all out in credits for a 24 months term. A couple of days after submitting the trade-in, your account should show the promo in the EIP section. The promo name will be shown there and "Pending Trade-In".

I'm thinking about trading for N10 Plus to S1 Ultra. Here is my math:
1200 S21 Ultra
325 quoted value today for N10 Plus, Minus
875 EIP for 24 months; Subtotal
875 / 24 = $36.5 payment per month without credit
800 - 325 = 475 Promo credit remaining for 24 months.
475 / 24 = $20 per month promo credit for 24 months.
36.5 - 20 = 16.5 per month payment after credits for 24 months.
Total out of pocket cost $396 + tax
I can not pay the full down, but that means I only pay higher monthly cost, the net in the end, does not change. It remains the same.
EDIT: You made a mistake in your math. Even if you qualify for $0 down, you are still responsible for the tax. Your monthly payments are
1200/24 = $50 NOT $36
The instant credit is issued to your account as a one time bill credit, that is, if the person checking in your phone deems it worthy of that credit.
But resolution on s21 is a downgrade, and loses microSD.

- T-Mobile is offering $800 for for it = pay $400+, but 24 month EIP..
- Samsung is offering $350 trade-in + $100 T-Mobile Discount = pay $712.49+, but get $250 to spend on accessories and 10% CB..
I think the price comes out almost the same at the end, just a matter of EIP versus paying upfront?
This approach isn't anything new. I don't like bill credits either, but at least this round they are not requiring you to add a line.
Your best hope is that Costco will offer this deal too. But in all likelihood the trade-in values will be substantially lower since there would not be any bill credits by buying from Costco.

3. Write a letter to the telecom regulatory authority in your State. They will be compelled to respond.
4. Write to your senator or legislator. They will forward your letter to the State regulatory body and T-Mobile and ask them to respond to THEM (senator/legislator). T-Mobile will be forced to investigate since they don't mess with senators/legislators. Once the legislators get a response from the carrier, they will send it to you.
5. Don't give up. You vote, don't you?

They do this just as high capacity sd cards are becoming increasingly affordable.
Samsung used to cater to enthusiasts who didn't want to deal with Apple's "my way or the highway" mentality, but they have totally lost that unique advantage.
F Samsung for doing this....so disappointed. Going to rock my $550 Amazon Warehouse Note 10+ as long as I can.
