To answer some of the many questions about the low trade-in value shown. I have done this sorts of trade-in with T-Mobile before, It's a 2 part deal, It doesn't show the full $800 amount, THAT'S NORMAL.

PART 1.The official trade-in value you see during the process is less than the $800 offer, because that's the trade-in value that Assurant (the phone goes to them not directly to T-Mobile,) pays for said phone. The Trade-In "agreement" is for the Assurant value amount.

PART 2. Once Assurant has received, assessed and accepted the trade-in, T-Mobile adds the difference in the form of bill credits to total the amount of the Promo.
So it shows Trade-In value $80, yes, that's what Assurant will be paying for the phone. T-Mobile will add $720 to that and spread it all out in credits for a 24 months term. A couple of days after submitting the trade-in, your account should show the promo in the EIP section. The promo name will be shown there and "Pending Trade-In".

Voila.

Awesome deal for my S9. Wonder if Costco comes up with rebate deal instead of this EIP deal. Prefer outright deal.

Why would I do that, when tmobile is going to give me $90 plus $710 in bill credits?
Also don't forget the $200 samsung credit.

Very glad oneplus 8t is within window to retun. I returned and using s9 for this. Great deal.

Because they will give it to you over 24 months.
If you use $50 plan vs a $30 plan, you pay $480 more over $24 months which makes it worse.

Not free.

You have to pay for tax ($70+)

You also need to payoff your S20 FE in order to trade it in, which most of us can't because we are receiving monthly credit for 24 months.
If you pay it off you still receive credits

Should I trade in my S10 or S20FE? Would like to keep one in hopes of Costco having a similar deal
I wouldn't do it for the S21, no SD slot, 1080p, smaller screen. Ultra is where it''s at IMHO.

For the 128GB S21 Ultra, how many Gb do you think would be left after all the system and required files?
More than 100

Thought it was confirmed that all 3 models don't have a MicroSD slot? If they don't i had made up my mind to get a 256GB variant.

My bad, I was referring to the S20FE, if I had a S10 laying around I would probably do the trade in for the standard S21 to get the latest and greatest for basically just paying taxes.

Received this offer in email late this morning and was intrigued since my S9+ is getting long in the tooth. Couldn't replicate anything on the Sprint website so I called in. Rep was extremely helpful and talked me through it. Ended up going with the Ultra 256GB which ended up with $19/month after the $33/month credit for S9+. Glad I stopped here to see that I can get another $200 from Samsung (asked Sprint rep about that and she said no, one or the other, even though both offers were in the email).
Seems like a good solid deal. Annoyed there is no memory card slot, but realized that before closing the deal and went with the 256 in lieu of the 128.
Old SERO customer that converted to the $30 unlimited plus Amazon prime, etc. a couple of years ago. I'm extremely glad companies are getting away from the position that only new lines get good upgrade deals.

The carriers (even "the uncarrier" here) make this so much more complicated.

Samsung is offering me $550 trade-in for my S10e, so $300 for an unlocked S21, plus $100 in accessories credit, a tag (meh), and YT Premium for 4 months (OK, sure). I don't need an upgrade, but that gets me future-proofing for way less than I can buy outright otherwise and 5G support later.

To get it with T-Mo, first I'd have to upgrade from my perfectly good 10GB 4G data pre-paid plan (unlimited otherwise, so basically unlimited) for $5 more per month, plus possibly more taxes and fees than I pay now. That's at least another $120 total. Assuming there are no problems with the bill credits, that's still a better deal, but I'm locked in for 24 months.

I dunno. Maybe I'll drop by my T-Mo tomorrow, as those guys are great. If they can't convince me it's a solid deal, I'll wait and see what Costco does or probably just jump on the Samsung direct offer and get an unlocked one.

Will they accept a device with screen burn in? Also wondering if it's worth it to just buy a used S9 to trade in
