What sucks is I think these aren't swappable between devices. Meaning, you can't just get a lightning/USB adapter and use it on any phone.

Also note the sensor is 80x60 on this, but the dynamic range is good.

The One Pro has a much larger sensor at 160x120 (4 times the pixels)

This same unit was on SD a couple weeks ago for $108 shipped direct from FLIR. Received mine before Christmas, works great btw.
How far can you see with it?

I'm wondering if when using the Micro to USB-C adapter and holding it like the guy is in the picture if the leverage will be too much and the weight would damage the charging port. This is because the camera would be an inch or so away from the phone, with the charging port as the fulcrum of the lever.

From many years ago in high school mechanical advantage equals force times distance or something like that.

This is tempting, but I think I'm going to pass. The max temp this model can sense is 248 F, which is the same as the much cheaper Gen 3 that was recently posted on here. I'm not seeing any major differentiators between those 2 models besides some resolution differences.

That would absolutely be my primary concern when using an adapter of this sort. I would worry that one bump would break a connector or cause the camera to fall. I fear for the camera's shutter mechanism (assuming this FLIR has one).

I've always felt that USB Micro and USB-C connectors were not nearly as robust as they need to be for most uses. USB Mini wasn't too much larger than USB Micro, but seemed superior is most respects.

Can this be used to find leaks / roof leaks?
Yes. Wet shows up very well. You can find any moisture really easily.

I think this is incorrect. The Flir ONE Pro has this range. According to Flir's website the LT version has the lower max at 248 F.

Just curious if any one use it for muscle pain.
Yes. You can see tiny differences in skin temp. Keep in mind SKIN TEMP. So you can see infection better than muscle pain. But I have helped my wife isolate tooth pain.
