Even if this is the case, it's still upgradeable, right? Just not plug-and-play upgradeable. Either splice the old connector in or re-pin the wires.

Yes, you shouldn't have a problem with the GPU. Might want more RAM, not simply for Flight Simulator, though.

No letter after model is basic processor
K = Unlocked
F = No integrated graphics
KF = Unlocked, no graphics
