I'm not sure about the cancelation question but this computer has no DVD drive or any optical drive so installing things off of discs is a no, unless you buy a USB disc drive for it.
Thanks for that yeah I am going to get an internal dvd burner with SATA, that would work right? USB dvd drive you were talking about that's external?

It wouldn't work there is no opening on the front panel for a DVD drive to be inserted, for this computer you would need an external DVD drive that uses USB.

No there is a optical drive bay, but yeah I saw 2 front panels, one is totally covered up another with bluray burner panel and tray thing. I guess there are 2 panels? also I got the xps 700 one but I think they are the same case wise.

I don't know if you can change it when you order but I just got the default one of whatever the link adds to your cart and mine doesn't have a spot for an optical drive.

In the packaging you don't see another front panel? where you can change the front panel and it got an eject button? see the ports and slots in the dell page:
Cheapest option to get 16gb ram to run @2666 on these dells is to buy an exact match from a member here and run dual channel. I just so happen to have one for sale, lol, since I just installed 2x16gb sticks. I learned that when I bought my i7 xps and went through a bunch of different gaming brands of ram and could only get the ram to 2133 due to lack of xmp on our motherboards. If you stick with ram that is 1.2v and not xmp 2.0 protocol then it will play nice with these dell xps motherboards.
What brand 16gb sticks did you get? Is the 8gb still available?
Seems even though I submitted the order at the $590 + tax price, Dell is trying to charge the full price. Had a temporary authorization on my Amex through Paypal for $625.40 ($590 + 6% tax).
Looked today and it has changed to $1,038.79. EXCEPT: Check out the incorrect math on what they submitted to Paypal (attached image). I called Dell to report the error for correction and they said they cannot do anything until the order has invoiced. I'll report back if they actually end up charging the correct price.
If not, between their order confirmation, my Paypal screenshot, and Amex, I'm going to have all kinds of fun going after Dell.

did you get it all sorted out or should I be concerned about using paypal when I catch the next deal on this?

Got it all sorted out. Sorted it out with Dell but also engaged PayPal to help. Was resolved in a few days.
