I went to the same corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100. The guy tried to lie to me that I need pay $120 and set up auto pay to get the $100/4 lines deal and I said that was not correct. The guy just said "ohh, you know everything and you are like a boss" and proceeded with $100 cash.
I ported 2 numbers.

Funny thing: my friend went to the same exact store and the store not only said $120 with auto pay is required and that my friend could only get 2 N10 and 2 samsung A21, not 2 N100. My friend left with empty hands.
These stores are like shit.

ok...will try for 2 n10, 1 n100, 1 lg (just case i am interested in the larger screen of the lg)

if not allowed, will try for 2 10 + 2 n100
6.52 inch on N100 and 6.8 inch on stylo 6. The size difference is negligible because the larger size on the stylo 6 only means longer screen with almost identical width. I used a 6 inch phone as mini tablet and then moved to a 6.4 inch moto g stylus, and didn't notice much size difference.

BTW: lg stylo 6 is not free (but $69.99) any more on new lines, only free on port-in lines.

agree...100 or 120 is pretty nice for 4 free phones.

however, i will not set up auto in any circumstances..

.they will not have any of my cc info...i will take cash t make the purchase..
oh. then i would go with $120 without autopay, if he let me have it again.
i had a gift card added in my google pay so i asked him if they offer google pay. they had just the swipe, not even chip based CC reader. but he suggested he'll hold the order if i wanted to get cash. man, i am out of cash. my bank is in KS where i went to school. i haven't been there in more than an year. i have been using digital payments since then. no cash.

I guess he was trying to trick me with $100 autopay on lower plan. But anyway, $10-20 extra without much clingy sales pitch was acceptable. By the way, I am planning to go that side again next week and I may get more phones if they allow. I may go with $100 autopay just to reduce cost. I can turn autopay off immediately by creating account after coming home, right?
Agree, $20 more is not a big deal, that's $5 extra on each phone. Autopay can be turned off. Once set up account, you can go delete your cc. When they say you pay $120 today, set up autopay and next month will be $100, it's not true. Next month is still $120 because it's a plan with hotspot. You can call CS the same day to downgrade your plan.

Tello is a Sprint MVNO. Which is now T-Mobile. So likely not.

Thanks, but that addresses service taxes, not device purchase when they are discounted to free. I'm wondering if WA will ding me for sales tax on a "free" device if bought in WA. I know OR won't.

Table 3. Disparity Between Wireless Tax & Fee Rate and General Sales Tax Rate, July 2020
Oregon says: 0.00% sales tax

I know that. I was looking for info on WA. Which someone has responded: sales tax is charged on the regular non-discounted price. So, I'll be buying in OR.

You can turn off autopay and delete your card from account. If metro still charges 2nd month on a deleted card, they are looking for lawsuit.

I am having a bit of a challenge in identifying "corporate stores" vs "Authorized Dealers". Any hints for me? (I am particularly interested in Northern Nevada.)
No luck for Truckee Meadows.
