I went to the same corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100. The guy tried to lie to me that I need pay $120 and set up auto pay to get the $100/4 lines deal and I said that was not correct. The guy just said "ohh, you know everything and you are like a boss" and proceeded with $100 cash.
I ported 2 numbers.

Funny thing: my friend went to the same exact store and the store not only said $120 with auto pay is required and that my friend could only get 2 N10 and 2 samsung A21, not 2 N100. My friend left with empty hands.
These stores are like shit.

My corporate store which is 15 miles away is saying they call the carrier and check in the service before porting in.. this is needed to qualify me .. if I buy couple of numbers from eBay, will these qualify ? What do they check as eligibility ?

Haven't activated my Ting numbers yet I only have 1 unlocked phone that will work on Verizon bands, will post up when I get in on this deal. But from reading most of this thread, it should work fine. $1 Ting sim kits are a small price to gamble for this deal.
Did the ting starter kit come with a gsm and cdma sim? I'm confused as to what it comes with. I have an unlocked iPhone that used to be Verizon and want to see if Ting will work for acquiring a port number.

V1 = Verizon = CDMA, X1 = TMobile = GSM

Ok that makes sense now. I had no idea what either of those meant. Thanks for the clarification.

I've no idea why Ting is being suggested here over $6 eBay # for port in.

Ting sim says "includes $30*, but if you read the asterisk, it's only for 2nd month payment.

I believe you still have to pay at least $10 for your first month (flex plan) with this SIM kit...

Correct me if I am wrong.

What is the total price for activating the ting kit? $1, and your able to make an account with pin that is able to port, or are there additional fees. how long does the number/account stay active, can u make calls ect? I paid $12 each for my port numbers, $1 is a steal.

cause the $6 one is from sprint and t mobile and sprint merged, so its ymmv whether the rep will do it for you or not.

Ting didn't work for me because you will need a Verizon device which I don't have.
I successfully got 4 phones (2xn10 -2xn100) for $120 (I tried explaining that I wanted the 4x100 but it's no use. Just pay $120 it's much easier like OP stated.
Worked like a charm.
I got the boost port in for $5 👍👍

Since the Apple phone does not have the "unlock" app - how would I go about testing if the drawer trick will work - are there specific instructions somewhere? The only comment I saw in this long thread was to "be patient, Apple device will take longer to unlock after six months."

Thanks,

Dan
