I went to the same corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100. The guy tried to lie to me that I need pay $120 and set up auto pay to get the $100/4 lines deal and I said that was not correct. The guy just said "ohh, you know everything and you are like a boss" and proceeded with $100 cash.
I ported 2 numbers.

Funny thing: my friend went to the same exact store and the store not only said $120 with auto pay is required and that my friend could only get 2 N10 and 2 samsung A21, not 2 N100. My friend left with empty hands.
These stores are like shit.

So they wanted to charge my husband $140 also. Can you tell from your receipt if any of it was for activation fee? This was at corporate and even after trying various things, they said they couldn't get it lower. Just thinking maybe the activation fee was added on and would have come off after porting the two numbers. TIA
$140 is not all that bad. The 5G phone has $300 MSRP. Only $10 more for each phone.

lol. Yes. You are correct. Because of you only, I postponed my store visit and got the N100 instead of Moto G Stylus. Thanks a lot. I understood wrongly and meant lxtng referred the post where I mentioned like oneplus web page was removed and next post he replied that he started new thread.

As expected I can't rep you and it is saying spread the rep :-(.

lxtng - Repped. Thanks for your thread and continuous support on this thread.
No worries. I said that just for fun. I don't really care about "rep" or "likes" in virtual world at all.

I know. Don't understand why. He even took my last 4 SSN. Said some BS about my name and phone number not eligible for port-in deal.
I bought 2 Boost from eBay. Maybe the problem came from the phone number?
I will tell you my second story. I did get the 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100 at one store using fake name and address and they didn't check my id.
Since they didn't check my id, I tried to go to another store and to get my second order. I went to the second corporate store, and asked for $100/4 lines promotion. They wanted me to pay $120 and set up autopay. When I said no, the guy just went to the back saying they needed to check my port-in numbers. The guy came back saying they needed to see my boost mobile bill statement which I don't have because I bought them from ebay. They are making up rules as a leverage to forcing me to agree with $120 for 4 lines. After an hour later wasted on the guy hiding in the back room checking with his manager and I didn't want to spend any time longer in the store, I just said please go ahead and proceed with $120 and magically they didn't ask for boost mobile bill statement anymore.
I got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $120 sealed in box saying I don't want to stay in the store and left the store. I am ok with paying extra $20 because the $120/4 lines includes one month amazon prime membership.
Funny thing: they didn't check my id again this time and I used fake name and address.

What did we learn? The stores will make up fake rules to force customers to agree on their offer.
They don't even need to open the box to finish the activation. As soon as they scan the phone's IMEI and sim card ICCID printed on the box into the MetroPCS system, the activation process is completed.

if you sell the phone, will the new buyer be able to use his/her own Metro SIM card in this? wouldn't Metro know the phone is supposed to belong to another account?

Before you sell you phone, you need to transfer the sim card number to a different phone to release the new phone by calling customer service or automated system. Or you need to wait for you account to expire and the phone will be released automatically after a period if you don't make second month payment.

Then the buyer need to transfer his sim card number to the new phone by calling customer service or using automated system.
You can't just swap sim card, because each sim card is tied to phone's IMEI in MetroPCS system.
BTW: you may be charged for $20 assistance fee if you call customer service to transfer sim card to a different phone. You may ask customer service to waive that fee.

For the guys with corporate stores far away, are you calling to see if phones are in stock and had success?

I have a line with Google fi and one with total wireless (expiring in 3 days). Will both those work for port in?
My corp store was 13 miles away, I called about the stock, and received an instant courteous response. But was asked to come to check my eligibility. Phoenix AZ CS seemed like a breezy transaction, compared to all stories here..

Hey Desi, Tux.... I decided to jump in even though I did the stylus deal 4 months ago.

Asked and received the 4/100. 2 N10 and 2 N100. Unbelievably easy. And yes she did check my ID. Ported in 2 cricket numbers. Asked about and declined the insurance. No pressure. She opened all phones to set them up. Took about 40 minutes. Cold hard cash!

All this at an AD store!!!! They are few and far between. Good luck to all. Reps coming for many contributors.

Oh and over 250 Mbps down from my home location. The same as my S20fe sprint phone using the TNX sim from t mobile.... 5G baby!
They checked your ID and still let you do it even though it was only 4 month ago? Wow, you must have gotten a really nice AD!

Most likely just making up some BS rule rather than the numbers being a problem.

Many people have cricket/visible burner numbers. Numbers can also be purchased from ebay. Don't know if GV number works or not.
I have a VoIP number, can that be ported for this deal?

Would the phones unlock when you open box 6 months later? Can you sell them sealed now? Just wait for a month?

Sealed or not, they are already activated. They will unlock or not unlock in 6 months just as the phones opened by the store. There is no difference between sealed or opened phone as soon as they scan the sim card number and IMEI to the computer's system.
You can sell them sealed in box now after you transfer the sim card number to a different phone. Or wait a month.

Most likely just making up some BS rule rather than the numbers being a problem.
it really depends on the person helping (irrespective of AD or corp store)
they will check ID and likely see you already have an active account or a old account cancelled x days ago, and may or may not go ahead and sell you anyway

Hmmm...I think I will try again with my local AD once they get it in stock. Maybe they won't ask for ID and I can get away with another 2x2.
