I went to the same corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100. The guy tried to lie to me that I need pay $120 and set up auto pay to get the $100/4 lines deal and I said that was not correct. The guy just said "ohh, you know everything and you are like a boss" and proceeded with $100 cash.
I ported 2 numbers.

Funny thing: my friend went to the same exact store and the store not only said $120 with auto pay is required and that my friend could only get 2 N10 and 2 samsung A21, not 2 N100. My friend left with empty hands.
These stores are like shit.

This is the fist oneplus phone on MetroPCS so I don't think anyone can share that experience. But I am sure as this model gets popular it might be possible to unlock. But just like the other phones the unlocking might be super expensive. I wish they would let it work on T-Mobile
Yeah, agreed. I always think it's ridiculous that I can use a T-Mobile device on metro, but I can't the other way around (unless it's unlocked). Maybe with a more useful FCC in charge they can improve some of these unlocking policies.

went to the mesa corporate store in phoenix. The guy asked for:
1. bring the actual phone with number
2. the latest statement
3. need to setup auto pay for 3 months and $60/month plan + insurance

The port in #s bought on ebay would not work anymore.

I went to two AD stores and none of them have the N10. I went ahead and got two N100, Moto G stylus, and Lg Stylus 6. $120 Out the door without tax or autopay.
They signed me up for the plan with 15GB hotspot, I verified that I can hotspot.

I have a problem with the Lg Stylus 6 phone. They gave me the phone with the stylus broke in half, and the other half is missing. Talk about bad Quality Assurance from LG.

I went back to the store and asked for a replacement, but he is out of that phone. He promises to swap out a new phone before next month (before I pay next month). Should I trust the saleman?
Should I claim a warranty with LG?
Why don't you just replace it with a different phone? Unless you really want that LG stylus.

no you didn't! you got two iPhone 7 and two galaxy a21 for free.lol
No really! I got back from my local AD with 4 free S21 Ultra lol.

Y'all believe me right?Cool2

Time to go to a different CS or AD.

Does anyone that has the device, can they check in Developer Options if OEM Unlocking is even an option?
https://support.oneplus.com/app/a...mart-phone
Should look like that screenshot there.

Thanks this is good info though. It would be a shame if there is no way to unlock itr at all.

On Samsung devices that aren't able to be Bootloader unlocked at all, Samsung removes the option completely from Developer Options; it just doesn't exist. But on my Pixel I previously financed with T-Mobile, it would say "Unavailable on carrier-locked devices." underneath OEM Unlocking and the option was not toggleable. I was able to chat with T-Mobile, they submitted an unlock request on the device and I had to use the T-Mobile Unlock app, which unlocked the Pixel and removed that message and allowed me to toggle OEM Unlocking, and unlock the bootloader.

I'm just unsure if the metro variants are "more locked" than the T-Mobile ones. It would explain the price a bit more, as it seems OnePlus does have an option to bootloader unlock the T-Mobile variants officially.

I just got 4 iphone 12 pro max for free without any port-in and the store let me use them on my existing $100/4 lines plan, on which I already got 2 N10 and 2 N100, so that I don't have to pay anything on the plan.

Edit: for those who don't understand that it's a joke, it's a JOKE. Don't believe it!!! Don't go to the store and try to replicate what I said in this post.

I asked him for a different phone, but he said that he can't do it now since it may mess up the purchase.

Go to another store. I posted earlier that I went to this same store and I just showed my ID and gave my phone numbers and account number to Rosa. You'd be upcharged though lol

It wasn't in full, as Metro's policies are different. But thanks for your unhelpful input.

I answered it fully. Just search for "bootloader" on this thread. I couldn't help someone who don't want to search for answer and call others unhelpful.
It's a shame you are a pro slickdeals user with 11k reps but still don't know how to search a thread.

i'd rather pull an eye out than deal with any cell carrier store in person, basically. absolute incompetent scum.

not only that but if the phones are locked to metro for 6 months, how is this even a deal at all, let alone 90 pages worth? you people are embarrassing. is a 299 phone even worth it, knowing you will have to pay a metro bill for 6 months to even get it unlocked?

Is this your first time using Metro? $69.99 is the upgrade price.
.
Quote from maxpain2011 :
Yes first time at metro and trying to port. They took all my info and last four digits of social. Told me that computer cant validate me and that without validation its $69 for the N10. It also says on the N10 display that the phone is free with validation and $69 without validation. Maybe they put in my info incorrectly?
I also called the 510 number in the wiki. Gave her an old number and she said the number was eligible for the "new line discount" but not the "switcher discount". So I asked what the difference was, she said with the "new line discount" you should pay $69.99 for N10 because you were not qualified for the "switcher discount" which would make it free. She never asked for my ID (over the phone, obv). So there should be related to the number we want to port in.

Then I called a local AD, she checked the number and said the number was eligible for the port in but not sure if I was qualified for a free phone, that depends on the ID verification! So not sure who to believe.

Can anyone PM me an eBay listing that can be used? The atlwireless says "they check the IDs in the store so do not buy it from me"

Did you have to bring a weapon, or just a black ski mask with a note ?

Care to read? Or you may not know what you were asking about.

I clearly said the OEM unlcok option is greyed out until sim unlock. It answered your question fully.

Do you know how to read and understand your own question?

You must be the person who clicked on the "unhelpful" button on my post. How silly is that? You call others who gave you the correct answer unhelpful just because they told you to search for it?
