I went to the same corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100. The guy tried to lie to me that I need pay $120 and set up auto pay to get the $100/4 lines deal and I said that was not correct. The guy just said "ohh, you know everything and you are like a boss" and proceeded with $100 cash.
I ported 2 numbers.

Funny thing: my friend went to the same exact store and the store not only said $120 with auto pay is required and that my friend could only get 2 N10 and 2 samsung A21, not 2 N100. My friend left with empty hands.
These stores are like shit.

I did a search "Boost port number" and the listing for $5.99 with about 1000 has sold.
I used two this morning and went perfectly fine.

Can anyone PM me an eBay listing that can be used? The atlwireless says "they check the IDs in the store so do not buy it from me"[/QUOTE]

I also called the 510 number in the wiki. Gave her an old number and she said the number was eligible for the "new line discount" but not the "switcher discount". So I asked what the difference was, she said with the "new line discount" you should pay $69.99 for N10 because you were not qualified for the "switcher discount" which would make it free. She never asked for my ID (over the phone, obv). So there should be related to the number we want to port in.

Then I called a local AD, she checked the number and said the number was eligible for the port in but not sure if I was qualified for a free phone, that depends on the ID verification! So not sure who to believe.

yes my port in number is the boost number from ebay and i did give them that. maybe that is the reason?

Data point for success:

-Purchased $5.99 Boost telephone number on eBay.
-Wrote down telephone number, account number and PIN on an index card.
-Called Corporate Store to make sure they had N10 in stock. Check - they did.
-Drove to Corporate Store.
-Handed index card to clerk. Stood 6' back and said "I would like an N10 under the Switcher promo. I only need a $30 2GB Plan because I only use about 250MB data per month."
-She was excited because I had all my ducks in a row and knew what I wanted. "I love customers that come prepared." (Good!)
-Clerk asked for my driver's license and checked it in the system.
-Handed her flat $30.00 in cash.
-I had to come up with a new 8-digit PIN.
-She made a test-call with the new phone.
-Was out the door in under 20 minutes.

Thanks and rep to OP!
Hi Carol, can you link us to the Boost number you got on ebay please?

There is a chance the number was recently on metro, so wouldn't qualify the free phone promotion.

My plan is has 15 GB hotspot and 1000 GB google cloud storage. I think it also comes with the Amazon prime, but I did not get any text about it. Do I need to call customer service to get the Amazon prime code?

Just call customer service and they will add the amazon prime service for free to one of your lines. You can then click the link from a text message or the MyMetro app to redeem it. The store which setup your account forgot to manually add the free amazon prime for you.

i'd rather pull an eye out than deal with any cell carrier store in person, basically. absolute incompetent scum.

not only that but if the phones are locked to metro for 6 months, how is this even a deal at all, let alone 90 pages worth? you people are embarrassing. is a 299 phone even worth it, knowing you will have to pay a metro bill for 6 months to even get it unlocked?
lol...ok folks ..we got a live genius here..amung all the rest of us idoooits ...

went to the mesa corporate store in phoenix. The guy asked for:
1. bring the actual phone with number
2. the latest statement
3. need to setup auto pay for 3 months and $60/month plan + insurance

The port in #s bought on ebay would not work anymore.
Deteriorated condition in two days. I bought on 1/19 and they just asked the first step in your list and ID, and I got out with paying $40 cash.. same store..

I did. You don't understand the question then. Thanks.
Unfortunately he's right that your question has been answered and your search skills were not adequate this time. Its a giant thread so info is bound to be lost. I'll wiki the answer below. EDIT: Google phone already did it. oh God my whole post was a waste

The metro N10 is not bootloader unlockable. There is no TWRP or custom room support.. The OEM unlock toggle is present but grayed out. There is a possibility you can enable the option and get the bootloader unlocked once SIM unlocked. Guess we'll find out - fingers crossed.

He definitely is. The price was showing zero on Metro home page, and regular price when you click on the phone. So no way anyone would honor that.
