I went to the same corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100. The guy tried to lie to me that I need pay $120 and set up auto pay to get the $100/4 lines deal and I said that was not correct. The guy just said "ohh, you know everything and you are like a boss" and proceeded with $100 cash.
I ported 2 numbers.

Funny thing: my friend went to the same exact store and the store not only said $120 with auto pay is required and that my friend could only get 2 N10 and 2 samsung A21, not 2 N100. My friend left with empty hands.
These stores are like shit.

What about 2 Month old FI number that will be up soon, hopefully the promo will still be on.
I would buy couple boost mobile numbers. That is 5.99 I did not have any issue porting them in. I guess most boost customers will port from boost cricket. So you dont want to stand out. I also recommend not walking into store and asking for n10 just ask them and drive them tooward telling you about n10. Metro pcs trains their employees to spot unusal customers like we are.

Went to the East Valley (Main St, Mesa AZ) corporate store to open 4 lines for N10 and N100s if they had them.

As soon as I said four lines and the Nord devices, they almost shut me out immediately.

I was like yeah I have four numbers to port in (eBay Boost numbers). They started to take the info down and started to dial the first number which didn't ring. I said they were drawer phones (which is completely valid as I have 6 tmobile lines currently sitting... In a drawer, not a lie entirely).

They then said that I was a high risk customer and people are just coming in to get thr phones and then resell them.

They then basically said I must meet the following conditions to start service and port in:

* Must bring physical phones with service to store containing the Boost numbers
* Must bring 3 months of paper statements for thr Boost numbers showing service
* Must show ID (that's already stated, fine)
* Must sign up on $60/line rate plan
* Forced insurance for each phone
*Required auto pay and maintain service for 3 months (uh what...?)
* Must pay taxes on each phone

Then when I said "OK, what if I bring a Ting or other number" they essentially labeled me a NAG (no idea I assume no go list) and then they said "no, sorry, we reserve the right to refuse service to you today" and that was that. To clarify, I was not rude or belligerent or otherwise raising my voice. I simply stated that this was backwards, forcing insurance and restrictions.

So... I guess your mileage may vary here...
Honestly, you screamed "do not sell me these phones". I think we all have to remember that Metro isn't in the business of just giving away free phones. There goal is to establish new customers and use the free phones as an incentive. So, when you go in the store, keep that in mind. If you go in with a list of 20 numbers, or don't seem like you use the numbers or jsut acquired them for this deal (tell them they are drawer phones or ask them "what if I bring a Ting or other number"), assume they will give you a very hard time. And that would be reasonable. Just be reasonable. You are walking out with four phones for ~120. Keep that in mind.

If you only keep the service for the 1 month will Metro black-list you from getting future phone deals similar to this?

I overheard a rep (AD) say that you needed to keep service for 3 months or you wouldn't qualify for anything next time around.

Dealing with Metro stores is such a pain in the @ss. Went in to port 2 Boost numbers today, and everything was fine until very end, where total was like $211. It included taxes and activation charges. I explained to rep that those shouldn't be charged, and he was adamant. Even told me to look at screen. The thing is, I really don't think he was being scummy; I just think he did it wrong. Is there a way to educate reps like this to do the deal? He was porting two numbers and starting two new ones, but I am wondering if there are two 4 for $100 plans and he was choosing the wrong one.

I filed a report with the FCC regardless for the port request, so we'll see what corporate comes back with.

I don't think it's an unreasonable request to come in with your ducks in a row.

Here's my phone numbers, here the required info, here's my ID. What if they're for my wife and kids who aren't here?? They have zero contact and because I look "younger", I assume they wrote me off as a result.

I was actually with metro for nearly six months while I floated around between Verizon to T-Mobile. They didn't ask my story, they didn't follow up with questions. It was a very lazy denial IMHO.

What about autopay ? my rep made me sign up for autopay. Saying that it is the 4 lines for $100 but I'm pretty sure he lie about that. I did try chatting online about switching back right away to 4 line for $100 but said he couldn't do it. Kept giving error. And told me to wait after 24 hours have pass and should work then.
Where you able to switch back to the $100 deal?

What state was this in? Remember 4 lines are like 100 and 120 with free amazon prime. THe plans are more before auto pay. Some states charge taxes on full price off free phones 2x N10 that $600 and 2x N100 are 360 assume tax of 10% on 960 is $96

Yes through the chat but no refund back so essentially still $120. So the $20 credit is useless since won't be using.

I asked the rep upfront on the total OTD and you don't have that guessing game.

I just switched from StraightTalk ATT to StraightTalk T-Mobile 2 days ago to test out the network. I assume this number is now no longer valid for this since it's been on a T-Mobile MNVO for a few days?
Correct, no go. Buy an ebay 'boost port number' for $5.99. If you direct contact the seller, he'll do it for $5. Ask him for a local area code. Not sure if that is part of the reason some stores are suspicious and calling the carrier. Most are having no issue with boost. After 30 days you can sell it or port your ST number to it

Florida. But I know it's wrong because I did this deal with the Stylus and A21 phones in early January and it was $100 total. Just read the stories on this thread.

100% agree with the post below.
as they say early birds gets the worm

btw..
ip6s deal, was great.
i have fond memories of that one.

Quote from kevinlynwood :
people should remember that the reason metro is asking for ID now was because of the iphone 6s deal LOL.
after awhile, they started to ask for the ID, calling porting # directly on customers' behavior to verify the porting #'s info, asked for at least 3 months phone bills/statements, or calling the porting # in the spots LOL.

so this isn't anything new with metro, either you join the game earlier when it's not that hot or play the game they are playing.

stop using boost/ting/mint/any tmobile/sprint related #s
just using anything from version and att are the safe bet now!!
even corporate stores will charge insurance, etc....
at this point, if the price is right, you should just take it lol

5) They have to open all 4 phones, activate, discard the plastic screen protectors, so you will only be able to resale as used phones.
Quote from googlephone :
About #5), it depends on the store and the exact store salesman, and the mood of the salesman. They didn't open the box for my phones this time when I asked them not to. Last time, they insisted on opening the boxes in the same store.
So for unopened boxes, no Metro SIM cards? No test calls? I guess neither is a big deal if you don't want them. Thanks for letting us know it is possible.
