I went to the same corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100. The guy tried to lie to me that I need pay $120 and set up auto pay to get the $100/4 lines deal and I said that was not correct. The guy just said "ohh, you know everything and you are like a boss" and proceeded with $100 cash.
I ported 2 numbers.

Funny thing: my friend went to the same exact store and the store not only said $120 with auto pay is required and that my friend could only get 2 N10 and 2 samsung A21, not 2 N100. My friend left with empty hands.
These stores are like shit.

Thanks everyone for the tips. I got 2 N10 and 2 Moto G Stylus for $141 total today from CS. They lied to me about $120 plan with auto-pay and forced me to get credit card to sign up for it. I told them I had cash only but they refused. Other $20 is for 2 Moto G Stylus. It is OK. They asked for ID and last 4 digits of my SS to verify. I removed CC from my account as soon as I got home. By the way, I ported from Ting without any problem.

$10 moto g stylus is a good deal. My stores in my area have it for $49.99 on new lines. I would choose moto g stylus over N100 if it was $10.

Do we have to open and insert the sim card to start the clock?
I was given 4 phones to open myself as I was short on time.
I opened one.
Do I need to open the rest?
They all show on my online account with metro.
Thanks in advance

From what I understand, phone need to open and insert SIM, check the following

https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/t...olicy.html

The service requirement begins from your phone's activation date. The first day your phone is active with Metro by T-Mobile counts as day 1. Please note that your phone's activation date is different from your account's activation date.

Moto g stylus is free on port in lines and $49.99 on new lines in my stores. You can check the board next to the display phone for prices, no need to ask the store representatives who may lie to you about the prices anyway.

That why I didn't fight much for $100/4 lines. I planned to get 2 of N10 and 2 of N100. After I played with Moto G Stylus and N100 while I was waiting. I decided to ask for Moto G first.

As soon as they scanned the sim card iccid number and phone's imei into the activation system, the phone is activated. The only purpose of opening the box is to make sure nothing went wrong or make sure you are less likely to resell it as sealed, not to activate the phone as the phone has already been activated.

My store has LG stylo 6 for $69.99 on new lines. Basically, it's just $190 off for phones on new lines and the LG stylo 6 has higher original price.

Got the phones eventually. As a lot of people mentioned, the authorized dealer is strange with a lot of unusual behavior which includes:

1. Ask your last four of social
2. Ask you to pay cash instead of credit card
3. Ask you to set up autopay otherwise don't wave the activation fee
4. Charge you the phone insurance without asking you
5. Ask you to tie your bank account to the payment
6. Enter a wrong name or zip code by purpose so the system giving an error message saying you are not qualified for this promotion.
........etc

They will judge you by your race or by asking some weird questions. If they suspect you are trying to take advantage from the deal they will give you hard time. Also many tricks to play if you are not looking at what they are doing they will try their best to scam you.
During the process I was told at least three times that I am not qualified then they said it is okay again. I hate these dishonest people. Not going to do any more deal with Metro no matter how good they are. Not worth the time and insult you get.

For people in SoCal, you can try to visit the CS store at Stanton near Long Beach. They currently have the N10 and don't charge tax and activation fee there.

You made a good choice. N10>moto g stylus>N100. The other free phones are literally trash nowadays and I won't consider using them even for free.

You are totally right but whatever they want to do is up to them. In SoCal there is plenty of customer so they don't really care you. They even write number on my boxes while I plea them not to do that. The manager is a scumbag he told the clerk right in front of me if I dare to say no to anything they ask, just cancel the order and put the phone back to the cabinet.

Revvl4+ is a good alternative to Moto G Stylus as well. Almost identical spec, but no stylus.

I still prefer the N100 only because it has dual speakers and ufs storage, but I think Revvl4+ is the only one that has NFC though and I know for some that's important.
