I went to the same corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100. The guy tried to lie to me that I need pay $120 and set up auto pay to get the $100/4 lines deal and I said that was not correct. The guy just said "ohh, you know everything and you are like a boss" and proceeded with $100 cash.
I ported 2 numbers.

Funny thing: my friend went to the same exact store and the store not only said $120 with auto pay is required and that my friend could only get 2 N10 and 2 samsung A21, not 2 N100. My friend left with empty hands.
These stores are like shit.

The AD store didn't mention Autopay. But one of the CS I called did say it needs to be on Autopay because some scammers would get the phone and cancel the service, and Metro would lose money. He also said the phone would not unlock after 6 months if the service with the original number was interrupted.

more scare tactics.

if they wanted folks to be on auto pay, then perhaps it would have been a good idea to include that in the T & C.

if they wanted folks to pay 1,2,3,6 months then perhaps a rebate after three months would have been more appropriate.

if u define "scammers" as customers who follow the guidelines of the promotion, then perhaps it is u [Metro] that is the real "scammers"

So they need to verify the number is ported successfully before letting you walk out with the new phone? The girl at the AS told me the number needs to be with the other carrier for 3 months before it could be ported in, is that correct? I just ordered a new Xfinity Mobile number to port to Metro, so that's not going to work, right? They could see I got the number a few days ago.
No. I ported a Verizon Ting number I established a few days ago and an AT&T RedPocket I've had for a month. And that was at an authorized reseller.

They can't tell how long you've had the number. If they ask, say 6 months.

Is anyone able to use the sim that they give in another phone? By me it's not working.
You need to call and have them change out the IMEI.

I got the phones from CS and he ask me credit card for autopay, but when I check online account, that was not setup. I double check that with online agent and confirm there is not setup too, it is all mess.

I went to an AD today, they didn't asked me how long I had the number. I bought the number on eBay, the PIN didn't match.
If the pin doesn't match, you have to contact the ebay seller and let them know.

Kind of silly that they're calling this scamming. It's a legitimate deal people are taking advantage of that's not breaking the law or anything.

Finally did this today

Used 2 Ting Verizon numbers to port.

They had only one N10 so got one N10, two N100, one LG Stylo 6.

Post billing realized I should have done 3 of the N100 over the LG.

They wanted 172 for the 4 phones and then made them recheck the plan info after a lot of debate and finally it came down to 152.

$8/phone for insurance was must. When I said No, they said they can't sell the phone with no insurance and that I should try a different store and the price would be higher.

This was a AD and not corporate as there was no corp near me.

Now wish I could just get them unlocked. If any one successfully unlocks please post and add to wiki.
I have been debating with N100 and stylo 6. Any reason why you felt N100 to be better?

N100 has better specs. Better camera, more ram... Expect it will last longer in terms of usability due to more ram

you may be able to unlock stylo 6 right away though... that was the only reason I considered it.

Hmm.. I wonder if this is how the conversation went:

wcjiang: I'm looking for 4 free Oneplus phones x $100, Do I need Autopay or just let it cancel after 1st month.
Metro: it needs to be on Autopay because some scammers would get the phone and cancel the service
wcjiang: Yeah, I'm only staying for 1 month. Will phone unlock after 6 months ?

No, he said all that after I asked him if I could get one N10 on the 2GB ($30) plan. I only want one phone.

Why can the Stylo 6 be unlocked right away? I was going to get the Stylo today because the store didn't have the N10.

Unlock services on ebay.

You should at least get one N10 if you can. Stylo 6 can be replaced for N100, but replacing it for N10 is a big difference and is definitely not worth it.

Look like the pin number from the Boost guy on ebay are always the same. My two pin from him are both 2019. If that is the case, a rep can tell if you are using ebay port number based on the same pin he seeing people have.

Does anyone know for sure that the phones are unlockable after sitting unused for 6months?
I have 4 phones now in a drawer, useless until unlocked.
I'm nervous.
I plan to stop paying my monthly bill after the first 30days.
Thanks in advance.
