I got 2N10 and 2N100 for $120 and planning it to put in drawer for 6months and use them after unlocking. But I was wondering if this is legal and would T Mobile mark me as fraud. I don't care about Metro but am a customer of T Mobile, so doesn't want to be marked for these phones foe future offers with them. Any idea?

Doesn't NY have a lot of CS? I remember checking on the store locator how there were quite a bit here and there.

Just keep trying until they have it in stock. It's not like they can lie about not having stock forever. Would they?

Well at least you had couple AD that had it in stock. A lot of people are having issues with finding stores that have stock.

OOS at CS. Went to the AD close by with stock. BTW the AD store ask for $100 to get the N10 5G stating only eligible for switcher rebate instead of switcher plus, more than the other guy's $70. I guess they can ask whatever they want instead of following the terms and condition of Metro.

Yeah, that's kind of the issue with AD. They will just make up stuff along the way even if the terms say whatever. They will just make up their own rules to gouge people.

Hopefully they restock it at CS. That way, you don't have to deal with AD extra charges.

Got mine today from a CS store.
Visited two CS stores on Thursday, both of them said I don't qualify, and one AD store on Friday, AD has stock and gave me $260-320 total cost.
The third store has stock and pay cash no problem.

YMMV.

if you are eligible for switcher but not switcher plus, it is usually because the number you are wanting to port in is not from one the qualified providers such as Verizon or ATT. other possibility is they are dishonest af.

I bet the resale value will be low. It cost around $60 to have phone unlocked.. You can get unlocked N10 for $240 at bestbuy. SO if you spend $86 for two phones and $120 to unlock them that cost you $100 per phone I bet the most you can get is $200 per phone.
About a month ago, I read in one of the Slickdeals forums that although Best Buy advertises phones as being unlocked, "it is well known that the phone is locked to the first carrier assigned". (It was news to me - thought others here might want to know that, too.)

If you paid full price for the phone, they have to unlock it for you.

You WILL not be able to port in a T-Mobile number for this deal.

You may read the wiki for all the details.
Maybe increase the font of the word "not" instead of the word "will"?

Yikes. From where did you get that information?

If that's the case, what will happen?
