I went to the same corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100. The guy tried to lie to me that I need pay $120 and set up auto pay to get the $100/4 lines deal and I said that was not correct. The guy just said "ohh, you know everything and you are like a boss" and proceeded with $100 cash.
I ported 2 numbers.

Funny thing: my friend went to the same exact store and the store not only said $120 with auto pay is required and that my friend could only get 2 N10 and 2 samsung A21, not 2 N100. My friend left with empty hands.
These stores are like shit.

Yes, I'm saying I'm keeping it for myself instead of selling it for $200-ish. I'm on metro and already flipped it over to my line. Great phone (after it received updates that fixed the initial bugs). Don't think there is a better "$200" android phone, without going YMMV or pre-owned. What do you guys think about the N10 - have you updated and tested it?
Most discussions have been about how to find a good store not scamming people. Few talk about the phone itself. The closest phone in $200-300 range might be moto g stylus. Use to be a money maker from Fi after trade in and Fi credit. Came unlocked. Very close in specs and usability, better camera, but no 5G.

I went to CS and I asked whether I can port my number to metro to the guy in the store and he took the number and responded within a minute and said "You can port the number but not eligible for any phone discounts as the number you want to port is less than 6 months in service". I didn't even ask for any phone discount or details.

is not a bad phone.
but, overall, im not that impressed.
mostly because of the poor speeds of metro in my area.
even with 5g, i barely get double digits download speeds.

i do think the face unlock is the best i have seen on any phone.

currently using lgv50 as DD.

How do you reboot the phone? Power button doesn't work. I can only find settings->system->power off, then power on. Never used oneplus before.
Hold the Power button & volume up button at the same time and the menu should show up to reboot or power off. You can change the power button by going to settings, then buttons & gestures, then "press and hold the power button" change to power menu onstead of voice assistant.

Went to an AD, got 4 phones for $200. $100 plan $100 tax. Not cheap, but ok price. No id check, box not opened. The system initially enforced $120 plan. It might not be the reps lie about plan trick people to pay $120. There is no such option to choose $100 plan. The rep had to call in, have someone on the backend manually adjust the cost.

Fraud alert: I bought 4 phones for 200. But that rep locked my account with a high security code with auto pay on. None of the csr thru phone can help me bypassing that. They are saying only the guy who set up this account can help releasing it. Crap.

That store guy is saying he won't give me the code. Is there anyway I can get my account released?

This is only for 1 phone? Should have at least got 2 with the switcher plus rebate and also to reduce the plan cost. You might have paid a little more, but at least you would come out with two phones which lightens the total cost.

Never mind...I saw that people already mentioned about this. It is cheaper than the Best Buy deal but remember that this is locked. No way to unlock for 6 month.
Yeah my store forced activation fee, tax, and first month before handing the phone over.

The main reason I'm ok with this is my new company gives me a $50 subsidy for my cell phone to use for work so I plan to just stay on metropcs.

Metro is getting more and more strict. If you don't want to return the phone, port out. That should stop future bill.

Is this even legal? It's not a binding contract, so how can that guy just refuse to give you the code?

Not cheaper, but $50 a phone is still not bad.

Would you recommend n100 over stylo? Or any other free phone recommendation?

They could do that? What if you just request a passcode reset? Dont they just send a SMS to the phone?

Nothing works without high security code. I have already reported this to BBB. And if I don't see proper response, I ll report this in FTC.

I ll trash these idiots till I get my account access.

YMMV - I faced recently. I created new account but didn't complete the port in during account creation. When I tried to port in on same account after few days, I didn't get the $100 promo and the chat rep suggested to go with new mail address and new account. Mad

I asked them to delete that mail id and they said it will be cleared after 60 days.
Regarding the 8 connections per household, you mean active connections? I had old account cancelled months ago. Those don't count towards the 8?

Another question: Can we still use the + or dot email trick? Does visible still consider them as different email? I recently still used one and didn't receive anything saying I am not qualified for $100 promotion.
I used the same email with a different "+" sign in my previous non-active account.

Never expected. Op, no worries. Send mail to T-Mobile CEO - [email protected] with full account details and store details. You will get the response from them by tomorrow and also ask them to adjust $100 for phones instead of $200.

I sent mail to same id for $200 BYOD issue last week, received response on next day.

Edit - You will get the response from below group.

Sr. Specialist, Executive Response

Office of the President.
