The promotion is only up for 2 weeks. How do they know how many people not paying 2nd month but keeping the phones?

SDers might still be a minority. Metro might have brought in many new customers with only 1 or 2 lines, and trick them to buy most expensive plans, ins, cases, sneak in activation fee. Most still get samsung, LG, never heard of oneplus. As soon as someone walks in, asks for 4 oneplus, it's a flag, definitely not usual users.

When I called AD yesterday, asked what's the final cost for 4 oneplus, the guy said $480. I asked for breakdown, $160 plan, each phone $30 tax $20 activation $30 xxx. I said there is no activation fee, and what was the last $30. He said case and screen protector. I don't want accessories. He said then $200 total. When I stepped into the store, he asked me to swipe card first before even putting any info in computer. What a scam bag. Metro must have made a lot of money by lying to people. I don't have any bad feeling of taking free phones from them at all.

I would say not to worry. Unlock shouldn't be affected even if the account is flagged. Most of us probably will be blacklisted if they are really taking actions. Maybe they won't run such deal in the future if they decide this is a bad strategy, but require a rebate for example.
I want to keep using one N10. Could I drop three lines next month and only pay $40 for one line? or let all four lines expire, then port in another number to use the same N10 (if not be blacklisted) in three months ( coz just start to use Mint 3 months plan on another unlocked phone )? Thanks.

You may port out 3 lines to visible, making ~$200 after 2 months of their service ($100 gc each line), keep one line active.

I was able to get a N10 this week. I called around to check pricing and stock and it varied. Lowest price I was quoted was $53, but they did not have stock. Others said I needed a $50 or $60 plan to get the phone. No one charged tax even though these were all authorized dealers. Activation fee was $25 everywhere. Bought a boost number on ebay from la68076823 for $6.49 and had no problems with porting in. Pin was not 2019. They didn't call it or ask me how long I had it. I had gotten all the info an hour before I went to get the phone, so it didn't seem to be an issue with how long the line was active. I was able to get the N10 with a screen protector for about $70.

The receipt was a bit different than what I was told. It lists $46 for activation payment/monthly fee, thought it was just $40. No activation fee but the screen protector is listed as $25 with a ~$2 store discount[was told you get a bit of a discount if you buy case or screen protector with phone]. Not quite sure how it all played out. I was figuring $40[first months service] + $25[activation fee] = $65 so when he said the total was $70 seemed like I was getting a good deal with the screen protector. Maybe it could have been better but getting a new 5g phone for a total of $80 seems about the best I can do for now. Hoping the six month timeline is close to when Tello is saying they are going to be fully switched over to GSM.

Screen protector and cases are Quickcell brand. They put on the screen protector and its pretty good. I can see some screen seeping out if I angle it a little, but I don't think I could have applied it much better. I didn't much care for the cases they had. The solid colored ones had kickstands and I didn't want that.

I was able to pay with cash. I didn't get a pin, not that I really need one since this was my first and last payment anyways but you may want to ask what yours is before you leave. Likewise I have gotten some text messages from Metro. First was start of service form link but it didn't work. Second was saying my number transfer is complete, then payment and account with confirmation number, and lastly how much my next payment[$46] and when it is due.

Some observations about phone
Update for phone was available, version 10.5.8.BEC88CF
They have their own message and gallery app as default but you can change to google messages and photos
It seems snappy to me, though I am coming from a feature phone from 2016 so really anything would.
I can't see the difference in the 60hz vs 90hz refresh rate, at least from scrolling in chrome. If I was doing some games or something more intense I might.
Camera bump takes a bit of getting used to. Its not protruding much, but I am used to have a smooth backed phone
5g is faster, but I'm not breaking any records. According to their coverage map I have excellent coverage in 4g and 5g. Best/worst speeds I have gotten in the Ookla speedtest app indoors in Mbps:
5g download 37.7 best and 14.7 worst
5g upload 5.52 best and .06 worst
4g download 14 best and 1.4 worst
4g upload 3.58 best and .3 worst
fingerprint sensor usually works, sometimes have to reposition it

I bet it's $40 plan + $6 insurance, $24 screen protector. So next month bill is $46. Seems you weren't charged activation fee or tax. Pretty good in AD.

Just got 2 after driving to 2 different corporate stores. They tried to upsell on insurance and cases but they were not overly pushy. Phones look good so far

The promotion is only up for 2 weeks. How do they know how many people not paying 2nd month but keeping the phones?—- I hope they considered all 4/100 deals like Moto g stylus, Lg stylo6, a21 and etc and recently Oneplus. I visited AD store few times recently and all the times it was empty. As mentioned before, SD community transactions are very less and many people are getting one or two lines without full knowledge of these promotions and AD is getting more money from those people. Ideally it is good profit for corporate stores and AD.

Excellent write up and good details on phones like phone review. Good👏.

I am using XS but not aware about refresh rate. One time my kid asked me to buy new monitor with 140hz refresh rate, I shocked. Did Google and found the technology behind this.
