Can anyone please tell me if I can give this to my grandma (she's also on Metro) but, of course, using another phone.

I remember this being discussed somewhere, but what is the process? Do I need to close my account? Thank you!

Well a month ago many were saying that you can use it on a different Metro account after 35 days.

Now I've read a few mentions of having to wait 61 days to use with a different Metro account.

Btw anyone selling a PORT-IN number please contact me.

EBay always sides with the seller even if you specifically say "No refunds.". Any buyer can simply say "Product not as described" and give any reason to issue a return and refund.
I think that here-my bold above- you meant to use the word "buyer", as they get the side of eBay resolutions for the reasons you mentioned, and I had that exact scenario. I can't seem to find any way around that in the future b/c just as you said, no matter how many disclaimers you use, the buyer can claim anything as "not as described" even break your merchandise or steal a charger out of the box and you have NO recourse.

Anyone with ideas as how to stop an unethical buyer, please send me a note!

You need to follow below steps.

1. Login to your account and chat with support for sim swap request if you have metro compatible phone. They will map your sim to unlock device. After these steps, login to your grandma's account and do the same sim swap request. You need to provide n10 IMEI and after successful swap, grandma can use n10 without any issues.

2. If you don't want to continue with your n10 number, port in into h20 to let the number die which will release n10 IMEI from your account. Next login to your grandma's account and request for sim swap.

You can call 611 too for sim request.

Edit- I moved my Moto g stylus sim to another unlocked device on first day and used new g stylus with my existing metro sim.

Hi, can I port one or two numbers out from Metro to other carriers ? My second bill is due in 9 days, I have 4 lines with them. Also if porting to H20 to let the number die, is there any extra charge besides the sim card, I used H20 a few times to port out Sprint lines, but heard that someone said H20 started to charge for port in? Thanks.

Yes. You can port out from metro. In h20, no other charges other than $1 SIM card and also no charges for port in. I did port in two days ago and metro line was disappeared within 15 mins after port in request at h2o.

For h20 port in, try to clear cache, clear the cookies and browsing history before you initiate port in request on your laptop.

something strange happened to one of the porting from Metro to Cricket today, I tried to port this Metro number to Cricket, but it always gives me error message regarding the account number and pin, but I indeed used the correct info. After many attempt failed, I chatted with Cricket rep, who said that I was trying to port a Verizon number, but actually it's a Metro number ( should belong to Tmobile ) , then I remembered that I ported this number from Visible to Metro about 20 days ago for the N10 deal, so I thought why should I try the previous Visible accont number and pin, since the Cricket rep told me that I was trying to port a Verizon number, guess what, it worked, I am super confused with the outcome? How come all these happen at all ? any reasoning behind it? Any pro could please chime in?

Now I don't know this will gives me issue when I try to activate the line when Cricket sim comes.Thanks.

Thanks and repped. You are always helping others and greatly appreciate it.
Not too late, I will at least know something from the checking, it shows: "carrier: Cellco Partnership dba Verizon Wireless - CA"
but what still confused me is that this number has been ported to Metro ( TMobile) from Visible ( Verizon) for more than 20 days, the number works with Metro sim and shown on Metro my account, how come it gives error message when I port in to Cricket using Metro account number and pin, while it seemed no issue when I still use the old Visible account number and pin? So now I doubt if my number really belongs to Metro ? Thanks.
