Heads up:

If you activated at AD with autopay, try to check it in your online account. If your account shows autopay is on but no payment details available, AD store guy made account level autopay setup instead of customer level. Chat with the rep and ask them to remove autopay.

My case - AD store person asked my card details and he said autopay is mandatory to get 4 devices. I didn't argue with him and got the 2n10 and 2 n100. I checked online to remove the autopay but I couldn't find any card details. I am sure he made autopay with my AMEX card since I got an alert from AMEX. Today I chatted with metro rep and his statement was below.

Mark: I can see your account is setuped with Autopay
Mark: Though it might not be showing in subscriber-level. But account-level basis your account is under Autopay ☺

He removed autopay from my account and it is showing as autopay - off.

my 2nd month ends on 2/23; and i don't plan on paying anymore.
so I assume 2/23 is the expiration date for porting

although doesn't look like visible deactivates or suspends.
I have $80 due on another number I stopped paying on couple months ago. Not sure why they don't suspend on non-payment.

Need your advice. I need to resell one phone. Should i sell after 1 month or should i resell after unlocked due to potentially high resell value for unlocked phone? I worried that resell value will drop if people prefer 5g phones after 6 months.

Where should i sell the phone besides ebay? I have bad experience with ebay.
I used to reply on Ebay for sale, but also have a lot of bad experience, so try locally, you actually gain more, as you save shipping and fees, most of all scammers, I use Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, Offerup, etc,. sale may be slow, but more peace of mind, hope this helps.

Paying $12 something to have the phone unlocked will have more buyers for sure.

Just received the phones I ordered last week, there 's a paper slip in package listing phone's imeis and sim card numbers, since I heard that the Cricket don't marry their phones with sims, so I could remove the sim and put in different phones?

Another question? If I don't activate the phone and don't insert the sims, the porting don't happen, so can I possibly reuse the previous porting numbers again on and port to another carrier? Say I used my Visible number to port in to Cricket, now if I don't activate them on Cricket, I reuse the same Visible number, port it to Metro, is it workable? Thanks for any pointers.

What is up with the Cricket posts on this Metro thread? We're almost 3000 replies, it will just make it worse trying to read up on consumer updates and sifting through posts not related to Metro transactions.

Cricket phones can be used with any cricket SIM, and you can insert SIM in any at&t or unlocked phone ( with proper APN for data).
If you don't care to use Cricket for the month you already paid, don't Activate and the port will cancel ( I believe in 60 days ) . I'm not sure if you can Port that # elsewhere while Cricket initiated the process already.
I have seen strange behavior while the number is halfway porting ( missed calls and text, can only call out , but not receive ) , so you may not want to use your primary #.

Thanks so much and repped, since I don't need to use the service, I may just don't do the activation, wait a month or until the service period passed, then gift or sell them locally, not sure if it's safe to sell them now, don't want to give issue to buyers?

You have a grace period with Visible - not sure how long it lasts but I was able to port out without paying another month - this was about a week after my payment was overdue
