This one is known to be one of the safe docks. And you are missing the point of this product. It is supposed to be travel friendly as opposed to carrying the bulky box around.

I think there has been known issues with 3rd party docks bricking the switch. The Genki one is suppose to be one of the safe 3rd party options. Although this price is still more than I'm willing to pay.

Thanks op. Been eyeing this for a few months now. Didnt pull the trigger for the holiday sale, but finally decided to since I am traveling a lot this year. Code works for the bundle with the bluetooth adapter as well.

I think the point is for the switch to still be playable by multiple people while traveling without the hassle of carrying the box and charger. Playing multiplayer on the switch's screen is incredibly difficult for more than 2 people.

As expensive as this solution is, some people are willing to pay for the convenience.

Got this thru the Kickstarter and love it. Main reason for getting it was how compact it was and the lengths they went to make sure it wouldn't brick the switch. I was really iffy on all the third party ones (to many bricked systems) and the cost of the official dock. Didn't do as much traveling in 2020, so it just ended up being an easier way to move the switch between TVs in the house.

I backed this on Kickstarter and it is a wonderful travel dock. I also used to have the insignia dock that someone mentioned above and it too is great. I gave the insignia one away to a family member.
