For the future, one simple thing is to go to lenova and put in the number the OP provided.
82HS0003US .

14" FHD (1920x1080) IPS 250nits Glossy, 45% NTSC
It also tells you that the ram is soldered.

the screen registers 10 separate touches at the same time. An example... if you're using the touchscreen to play a piano app, multiple concurrent touches is required to play a chord.

this is different from a screen that may "sense" multiple touches on the screen, but calculates the average position of those touches.. and registers it as one touch at that averaged position.

On Lenovo website. Let Lenovo website detect your PC and serial number. It will then tell you how many days left on your warranty and offer both on-site repair or replacement in first year for less than $50 along with extended warranties by year. Say you add another year only instead of 3 or 5, you can still go back at the end of the extended year and add another if you want. Prices very reasonable.

Never buy a Lenovo. Worst customer service ever. I even filed a complain with BBB yet it's not resolved. My Lenovo flex 14 touch screen only worked for 1 month. Replaced then failed again. Latest is dead TouchPad.8t was deliverd to their repair center on Dec 8th and still they can't locate it. Give million generic answers and avoid giving direct answer (call, chat, social media nothing works). Please read horror stories about them before you decide.
Spot on here, we use Lenovo at the School District I work at and the failure rate of the devices is very high. Much more so than when we used Dell. There is a reason that most of the 'Slick' deals on laptops are Lenovo.

I just ordered an Acer Swift 3 with a Ryzen 5 4500u and 8gb ram. It's lighter either a better CPU but less RAM. I'm really concerned about running 8gb ram on a windows 10 machine as Chrome and Teams alone slurps up most of the available memory. Is it worth getting this heavier machine to get more ram? I don't care about the touch screen or foldability aspects. And thoughts would be appreciated.
Upgrade the RAM in the Acer. Lenovo is soldered and either can't be upgraded or has limited upgrade options.

^ same here. I had a terrible experience with Lenovo. Never ever again.
Good on you people who are satisfied with Lenovo, but you've been warned.

IPS 250nits is a deal breaker. Don't buy anything lower than 400nits

Quit whining. The on-site warranty costs nothing and you usually just get a new computer. Only fools send a laptop off for repair.

That can be hard to find in the lower budget laptops!

Depending on your usage scenario, 250 might be ok. 8GB is hard to be stuck with these days, but 16GB should be good for the foreseeable future, again depending on your usage scenerio.

This looks like the official bitch about lenovo thread. Anyways dell kind of pisses me off way more. Having switched between lenovo and dell for 20 years, I think I prefer lenovo. I have owned a thinkpad and ideapad, but I have been stuck with a dell i5 for the past 5 years. Now I want to get a new lenovo with a 15 inch touch screen.

How do you add an on site warranty to a laptop purchased from Staples? Do you have to call Lenovo?

BBB have zero power, it just a platform for reviews.
