For the future, one simple thing is to go to lenova and put in the number the OP provided.

the screen registers 10 separate touches at the same time. An example... if you're using the touchscreen to play a piano app, multiple concurrent touches is required to play a chord.

this is different from a screen that may "sense" multiple touches on the screen, but calculates the average position of those touches.. and registers it as one touch at that averaged position.

On Lenovo website. Let Lenovo website detect your PC and serial number. It will then tell you how many days left on your warranty and offer both on-site repair or replacement in first year for less than $50 along with extended warranties by year. Say you add another year only instead of 3 or 5, you can still go back at the end of the extended year and add another if you want. Prices very reasonable.

No wifi 6. Also tiger lake processors don't seem to be able to fully utilize "unequal" ram configurations i.e 12GB when compared to 8GB or 16 GB setups

What's with the warning under the details section? - ⚠ WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov

I see it on almost all Lenovos, but it isn't there on HP, Asus, Acer, or Microsoft. Can anyone speak to why it is on the Lenovos?

What do you mean you don't see it in HPs or other brands? Pretty much all brands have this warning.

Those warnings are worse than useless. They don't tell you exactly what the hazard is.

FWIW, just being alive is hazardous. When you are born, you are doomed to die. I find these CA warnings to be ridiculous. If a product is truly hazardous, it needs to be banned.

Love Lenovo. So quiet and long lasting... I used to buy dell (and toshiba before).
Lenovo great performance and my 4k yoga 15 cpu after 3years runs cool. 20 c deg when watching YouTube.
Honestly i though it was a cheap Chinese brand but after great experience... I probably will never switch

How do you add an on site warranty to a laptop purchased from Staples? Do you have to call Lenovo?

I used to work in a hotel and we had little placards with this posted next to every elevator, so... 🤷

Basically all Windows touchscreen laptops are multi-touch. Probably the more significant reason why the screen needs to be able to register multiple fingers at the same time is for gesture - for example the pinch to zoom gesture.

Yeah it would be nice to know what the material is or where it is being used. Thanks for the reply, what I meant is that on the Staples site, the warning is only listed for Lenovos, I haven't come across the warning for the other manufacturers I listed. I found that strange, but I'm not going to worry about it. Thanks again.

I've purchased Dell, hp and lenovo for my office and the lenovo ones seems to last longer. The dells and hp crap out quicker but its always right after warranty.

I've always bought the mid tier range, flex and envy. So I guess it depends on luck?

I just ordered an Acer Swift 3 with a Ryzen 5 4500u and 8gb ram. It's lighter either a better CPU but less RAM. I'm really concerned about running 8gb ram on a windows 10 machine as Chrome and Teams alone slurps up most of the available memory. Is it worth getting this heavier machine to get more ram? I don't care about the touch screen or foldability aspects. And thoughts would be appreciated.
I'm using an Acer Swift 3 with the Ryzen 5 4500U and 8GB RAM now. I don't use Teams but I've had no issues running Chrome and Zoom. Before getting the Acer, I owned a Lenovo Flex 5 (Ryzen 5 4500U, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD) which worked great except for the horrid screen which I would've lived with. I returned the Flex 5 as mines stopped charging. Despite the significant RAM tradeoff which I may regret in the future, I'm very happy with the Swift 3. Not that it has an amazing screen but, IMHO, its screen is head and shoulders better than the screen on the Flex 5.

I did this search on this model number at Lenova.com and got no results! Also looked under Intel Flex models on their site and they all seem to have 16gb memory . Could this be a custom model for Staples?
