Costco has the Yahama ATS 2090 on sale for 199.99. Available in the warehouse and free shipping. I saw this was posted earlier on sale for 239.99 and now they have it $40 cheaper.
Bought one yesterday. The "clear voice" button is a total game changer. Dialogue is so hard to understand in movies anymore and this compensates. You have to try it to believe it. I am so stoked with this purchase.
was looking at the Vizio deals as well but really don't want to deal with wires for the extra 2 speakers. Never owned a Yamaha soundbar so will give this a shot for the price. Seems to have good reviews. Wish it was true alexa driven but other than that this will be great for my man cave in the basement.

That's my top requirement. I find it difficult to hear voices over all the background music. Are you able to increase the volume of just the voices or this feature does it automatically?

When you enable "clear voice" it automatically boosts that specific frequency. There's no manual adjustment. Same thing for the "3D sound" function, which gives a "surround-like" feel when enabled.
just ordered this after doing a decent amount of homework. Seems like this is by far the best option for the $200 price-point, and I like the added bonus of Alexa built-in.
In store, the Yamaha sounded better than the 5.1 Vizio. I currently have the Vizio M Atmos Soundbar (which is online only), and it sounds decent. Top three soundbars Costco has would be: Vizio M, Sonos and Yamaha.
Ordered, tried for a week and returned this. When connected on Bluetooth, the device crashes every 10 minutes and disconnects. On HDMI ARC, the volume occasionally gets lost. The only solution is to restart the device. Support (chat) was terrible. After half hour of waiting, they ended the chat (twice). I received a phone call from Yamaha after a week, but i already returned the device to Costco. Hard reset, restart and disabling power saver did not help. I have seen others mentioning these issues. Too bad because the sound is excellent.
Previously ordered Vizio soundbar at Costco but it was back ordered. Decided to cancel it. Yamaha soundbar should be better although it's 2.1 vs 5.1.
How so?
I am actually testing both units side by side. At the same price point ($199 on sale), I'm leaning towards keeping the Vizio. Both units have advantages and disadvantages, but having two extra speakers behind you is difficult to emulate. Will test them for a bit more and keep one at the end.
Purchased the yamaha in store yesterday. I'll set it up this weekend to run it. It's for the master bedroom so not a real need for surround, just much better than TV speaker sound.

If I can get a used mint condition sonos playbase for around 250, which of the two would you recommend?
Don't care about Alexa, just want a good sound bar with maybe ability to add few speakers for some surround later
