Chiming in to say that this is one of the best video games ever made, and probably the best open world sandbox game ever. Every gamer should play it, and I envy anyone who still has to experience this game for the first time.
This is probably the best game that was ever created for the Nintendo Switch

Tried so hard to like this game. After 15 hours, nope... I know I'm in the extreme minority. I also hate the matrix movies, so there's that.

Playing through the "new" Link's
Awakening last month was SO much more enjoyable and less tedious.
You aren't in the minority, there are many that agree. This is the most over rated game (Zelda game too) in Nintendo history. Empty open world, zero feeling of progression, many weapons/tools missing from past games, no real dungeons (guardians were stupid), weapons breaking after fighting 10 enemies or less, story mediocre.

If this game didn't have the Zelda name or skin, it would be an average middle of the road open world adventure game. But since it's Nintendo, and Zelda, the fanboys bow down to it. I'm a huge Zelda fan too, been playing these since I was 4 in 1987.

Totally mind blowing for me when I first tried after so many years disconnected from the gaming world. This thing is too good

Love Nintendo first party games - 4 year old $60 game is $40

Brand new $60 Cyberpunk is $30 already
BoTW is a once in a generation AAA game, the other game is an overhyped steamy pile of crap.

The BOTW can't be justified as a triple A game because its development cost is merely $20 million, a very fraction of any real triple A game. In comparison, real triple A games usually have a much higher development budget so they don't have to utilize gimmicks to pretend to be a triple A game like what the BOWT does, like the Bioshock infinite cost approximately $200 million to develop, and the GTA5 cost around half billion dollars. The budget for the BOTW is almost equivalent to a well packaged indie game, so is the quality. Don't forget Nintendo didn't pay much attention to the BOWT, and they made this game just in order to lengthen Wii U's lifespan a little bit. Anyone who is still sane shouldn't pay anything more than $20 for this mediocre indie-alike game (or are you going to buy a Toyota Corolla at a Mercedes S-class price?).

I liked the first matrix movie, hated the rest. But this game, I love. Such an incredibly realized world. Very few games ever made have a world as massive and alive feeling as this game.

For those complaining about the game's open world size due to exhaustion of travel, there's always fast travel between shrines and towers. 💁🏻

I personally love the size of the open world because it just shows the awesome scope of what Hyrule should have always been. If it were any smaller I'd get more bummed seeing the same places too frequently. There was a sense of curiosity and adventure with how large the map was when I first started playing.

Sunk in 150 hours and still not yet completed. I'm taking my time.

Anyone have a reason why we should pay 40$ for a digital copy when a used physical copy is 40-50$ and we could resell it for $30-50 after playing through the game?
Nintendo games hold their value so well, it seems a waste to buy them digitally when you can basically rent them a year for free.

You are certainly in the minority. Empty open world and zero feeling of progression? Sounds like you played 3 minutes and quit. I despise single player open world games and this is the first one I've finished and thoroughly enjoyed in a long time. I'm not a Zelda fan boy by any stretch. Sounds like you wanted an OoT clone and didn't get it.

No this is rock bottom lowest price you'll ever see on AAA first party Nintendo games. Black Friday was maybe $5 less but that wont happen again till this Black Friday if at all
