Apple iPhone XS models (including large capacities and Max variants) are all $199 in-store at Walmart as of this weekend. Definitely a YMMV since these are not showing up in online inventories.

NOTE: Brickseek is showing "NO RESULTS" and Walmart.com is saying "Out of stock" for all SKUs (I checked them all). However, all 4 of the stores I checked in-person did have inventory. This seems very unusual, but I purchased a 256GB XS Max for $199 this afternoon at a store in my area so there are some models out there.

No contract/commitment required, but I believe these are only setup to work only with AT&T. I have AT&T so I haven't explored this further.

Clarification: No AT&T account info was needed to checkout. I just asked for the phone at the electronics counter, paid the total, and walked out. I charged the phone, swapped the SIM from my existing phone, and was up and running.

Best to get gsx report on eBay. 99 cents each will tell you unlocked or not.

Anyone have directions? I have two phones and girl at cell phone counter is not processing correctly. I have had to get manager over rides and everything else.

Now we get a screen asking for iiccd# for activation.

Please help

I bought two XS Max 256 and am currently going through the install process. The phone is doing a software update currently. I purchased for AT&T and signed up for your Bring your Own Device (apparently $40 per phone/mo). I have T-Mobile. I have not put in the AT&T sim, just moved my T-Mobile sim over and am waiting for the installation to complete. I will report back.

has anyone here Reserved theirs and then gone to the store and there is 0 inventory?

i dont want to drive for hours if the Reserving system is bogus....

From the WARP computer, they have to find and select "device only." It will then prompt them to print a barcode, which can be scanned at a cash register to process the sale.

I can't say with 100% certainty, but the guy at electronics at my store said after the amount of reservations meet the amount in the stores inventory, no more can be reserves. So, I'd you are able to reserve, they SHOULD have them. These phones are met in cages, so it is far less likely that they would go missing from the inventory. Of course, employees could always hide them for themselves and say the inventory is wrong, so YMMV as always.

He did use the WARP to print out a barcode and scanned it before check out.

Had a reservation for two AT&T XS Max 256gb. Store had them but the electronics employee refused to sell them to me due to orders from his manager to not sell any phone without activation. Tried to argue my case but got nowhere. Very YMMV on this deal.

Might try emailing as someone did earlier but not getting my hopes up.

Ok update got the xs Max 256gb for 200 dollars ..after 4 hours going back in forth with the t-roc employee and also called t-roc corporate office who stated that it is their policy for you to buy the phone as long as wal mart does not care to override it ..took a while but I drove a hour so I wasn't leaving with out lol
