Apple iPhone XS models (including large capacities and Max variants) are all $199 in-store at Walmart as of this weekend. Definitely a YMMV since these are not showing up in online inventories.

NOTE: Brickseek is showing "NO RESULTS" and Walmart.com is saying "Out of stock" for all SKUs (I checked them all). However, all 4 of the stores I checked in-person did have inventory. This seems very unusual, but I purchased a 256GB XS Max for $199 this afternoon at a store in my area so there are some models out there.

Walmart listing (shows no inventory; see note above) https://www.walmart.com/ip/Apple-.../109707311

No contract/commitment required, but I believe these are only setup to work only with AT&T. I have AT&T so I haven't explored this further.

Clarification: No AT&T account info was needed to checkout. I just asked for the phone at the electronics counter, paid the total, and walked out. I charged the phone, swapped the SIM from my existing phone, and was up and running.

Any insight from anyone if reaching T-Roc is as effective as OSL was? Seems my stores are T-Roc. I filled out the WM forms but it can't hurt to cover more bases at this point.

I had two xs max reserved and was able to get both pretty easily. The one hour drive was worth it. Thank to the OP and others.

I reserved online and went to store at 7pm est and the store manager said only wireless guy can do it and he is not available now and asked to check later. So came back empty.
Does wireless guy only can see the reservation under my name?
Can we call walmart and check if wireless guy is in store or not? Or any other options i can try different to purchase?

No he's right, they use UPCs in store, that employee must have pulled it up with the consumer walmart app, which provides different data than the store handhelds. Just because they found a way to accommodate you doesn't mean the store systems can use the wm.com item id.

I don't know if the hours are the same at all Walmart locations but the wireless hours at the store I bought 2 phones at was: Mon - Sat 10 am - 8 pm and Sunday 12 pm - 6 pm. Having said that, the associate working told me he was only working until 6 pm (today, Tuesday). I don't know if that was daily or if it had anything to do with reduced covid hours. Calling to check the wireless hours at your store would be your best bet.

I tried that bottom-most one and it should be the right one the imei 2 is the esim one I think. But it was denied "Your unlock request was denied because the IMEI number doesn't match a device that's compatible with the AT&T network."

The denied phone shows as "Locked" on this site (https://imeicheck.com/simlock-iphone)
but my wifes phone shows as "Unlocked" when I enter it on that site. Neither phone has been turned on nor any sim inserted. Did you put in an at&t sim card in first?

I ordered 2 and got the email confirmation one Verizon one AT&T. I'm thinking I should get the AT&T one so it works on Cricket? I don't want it to be locked so if it locks to Cricket do I call AT&T or Verizon? Only 64GB available, was hoping to find a 256.

When picking which wireless company at the beginning, does anyone know if that changes the provider logo you see on bootup and which pre-loaded apps get installed? I have a buddy that I bought one for and he has Straight Talk and does not plan on ever moving from them. So for him, the startup logo and pre-installed software for Straight Talk are more important than network unlock but having to have AT&T bloatware on it. I have T-Mobile so I cannot answer this. Any knowledgeable folks out here on this or even understand what I'am saying here? TIA hug
