Apple iPhone XS models (including large capacities and Max variants) are all $199 in-store at Walmart as of this weekend. Definitely a YMMV since these are not showing up in online inventories.

NOTE: Brickseek is showing "NO RESULTS" and Walmart.com is saying "Out of stock" for all SKUs (I checked them all). However, all 4 of the stores I checked in-person did have inventory. This seems very unusual, but I purchased a 256GB XS Max for $199 this afternoon at a store in my area so there are some models out there.

Walmart listing (shows no inventory; see note above) https://www.walmart.com/ip/Apple-.../109707311

No contract/commitment required, but I believe these are only setup to work only with AT&T. I have AT&T so I haven't explored this further.

Clarification: No AT&T account info was needed to checkout. I just asked for the phone at the electronics counter, paid the total, and walked out. I charged the phone, swapped the SIM from my existing phone, and was up and running.

Reminder for those going to store and have an idiot working the WARP system to get an unlocked phone without activation.

First!!!! Verify phone is $99 or $199 via Walmart inventory, not warp system pricing. Walmart associate should scan phone in their inventory reader.

Verify WARP 2.0 system

On computer choose:
New customer/order>>
Choose Verizon (you need a provider so choose Verizon or att. Not sprint. Don't worry. You are only activating the phone to use NOT getting service!!)>>
Pay device in full option>>
Follow prompts>>enter store zip code>>follow prompts.

Pos print off sheet will print out. Pay for phone and taxes. Keep copy of pos sheet

Hope this helps.

You do NOT need a cell phone person (Walmart provider) to do this. Any electronics Walmart person can do this.

Good luck
So I tried to do this but if you go there they ask you for a password and username. How did you get past that?

Wow thread finally went one thumb up. Quite the turn around!

LOL! Years ago I got a killer deal on an open box Macbook Pro (~$900 discount) and some iPads. It was the same thing - the thread was heavily downvoted. But if you could get a free cup of yogurt at Walmart, that would make the front page.

Those who reserved your phone, how long did it take to get an email? I've been waiting an hour now.

I don't think any of the credit cards I have doubles Apple warranty. And I have several including the Chase Sapphire Reserve.

In either case, they didn't give me a hard time with the device only purchase (no upgrade or activation hassle) and they also didn't try and screw me. So me buying the extended warranty is a win-win for both of us.
the Chase Sapphire Reserve doubles the 1 year factory warranty to two. 100% confirmed. Too bad someone who has a credit card is unaware of its benefits! Buy yes, you screwed yourself over by buying a warranty that duplicates what you get for free.

Had a helpful associate try to ring me out today using WARP, but it was flickering and kept hanging, basically unusable. They only had one terminal that worked at all, so he's going to have the manager figure out how to get me processed in the AM. Seemed honest, but you never know. All three phones were there on the counter in front of me when he was trying...

Resellers explains, but nice try.
You are right. Resellers will downvote to corner all the supply for themselves. I wish slickdeals could figure out a way to counter that. Maybe 5 upvotes for every 10 pages of thread attained.

DON'T be discouraged by the downvotes. This is one heck of a deal which is why it is already 37+ pages long. Resellers are downvoting so that they can corner stock.

Data point: I used a very old At&T prepaid sim to boot the Iphone-XS and requested unlock via At&T portal as a guest. The phone got unlocked within a minute. Thank you OP!

Got T-Boned at an intersection in Omaha while driving from Michigan to San Fran. Spent 3 days walking around the mall, waiting for the car to be made functional again. Not the best luck!

You actually picked them up? Were you forced into new service?
Yes, picked-up, in hand right now, and no, no contract, didn't even ask me about a contract. The guy knew exactly what to do. He said he had been doing phones for years at that Walmart. He knew WARP and knew everything to do. Got out of there paying $328 for two phones. Never thought possible.

What email? I thought this deal is only at the store.

Did you give credit to the Original Poster. Maybe give him a thumbs up to offset the downvotes by resellers?
