ATT and Verizon show 250..not looking for those.
1. I have T-Mobile service. Insert TMO sim, thus locking to TMO and then request TMO to unlock. Just worried that thiswill not work.
2. Get a Verizon sim card for a few bucks on eBay and insert, but it probably is not tied to an active account. Maybe ask a friend with Verizon active service to insert their sim.
3. Get an AT&T prepaid card and insert, and then request through AT&T unlock online portal.
Whatcha guys think? The US Reseller Flex Policy is certainly complicated. You'd think you could just contact Apple and have them unlock everything, but no.... I hate Apple.

so in current state it is actually unlocked,
but it will lock to a carrier as the first sim u insert into it.
some have suggested att sim, since u can get it unlocked via the att non customer unlock request.
again, this is just my theory.

if that is t mobile, and u have account, why not try the tm sim.
at worse if it locks to TM, at least u can use the phone
UPdATE. Took about 40 minutes but I walked out with an xs and xs max!!! The Gm found someone that knew what he was doing in the warp system! Thanks OP!! You the best!
Manager and OSL are refusing to sell the phones without a contract and refuse to ring it up any different way.
