Apple iPhone XS models (including large capacities and Max variants) are all $199 in-store at Walmart as of this weekend. Definitely a YMMV since these are not showing up in online inventories.

NOTE: Brickseek is showing "NO RESULTS" and Walmart.com is saying "Out of stock" for all SKUs (I checked them all). However, all 4 of the stores I checked in-person did have inventory. This seems very unusual, but I purchased a 256GB XS Max for $199 this afternoon at a store in my area so there are some models out there.

No contract/commitment required, but I believe these are only setup to work only with AT&T. I have AT&T so I haven't explored this further.

Clarification: No AT&T account info was needed to checkout. I just asked for the phone at the electronics counter, paid the total, and walked out. I charged the phone, swapped the SIM from my existing phone, and was up and running.

No on the credit check as your purchasing it up front. I think he's just pushing sprint sales. 45 for 1st line 25 each additional. Says they unlock after a month I don't care I'll get it unlocked later. He does ring the phone out first and then activates it so that's where the commission comes in. I'll report back if unlocked. I'm sorry for being dense. You said there's no credit check, but how does he activate them if you don't have an account? Does he offer you any options that you can activate against, like 500mb/month, 5gb/month 30gb/month at different price points?

Dont waste your time in Richmond, Va with this deal. Went to Midlothian location to be told I had to sign up for a wireless plan. Escalated to a manager named David, who said he didn't care if other Walmarts were selling the phones outright, that he nor any other managers there would override the system to sell them to me.

Needless to say, called corporate to file a complaint, Tyler says its up to the store managers to honor these deals, they have the right to set limitations with wireless plans.

Some people have crazy cheap cell phone plans, but they are on their own to purchase phones at full price. This deal allows us to walk in, whip out a credit card and just buy a phone and use an existing SIM card on the plan we already have. Other option is to buy a cheap sim from cricket or other mvno for better rate than verizon, att&t offer

If you use a mint sim does it lock to mint or to t mobile? Also visible doesn't usually lock phones, what happens with a visible sim?

He just said the plan is 45 a month and 25 a month for the 2nd line. I did have to provide my ID but he stated no credit check. If it's unlocked I'll cancel tomorrow, 😂

my local Walmart said the WARP system was "being fixed" and it will take a couple days (during which no phone sales can be made.) Sounds like they don't want to sell any phones.

Good luck in Denver. Every store employee I encountered argued with me and wouldn't sell me anything "outright." If anyone has had any luck in this area, please tell me tf how.
