Apple iPhone XS models (including large capacities and Max variants) are all $199 in-store at Walmart as of this weekend. Definitely a YMMV since these are not showing up in online inventories.

NOTE: Brickseek is showing "NO RESULTS" and Walmart.com is saying "Out of stock" for all SKUs (I checked them all). However, all 4 of the stores I checked in-person did have inventory. This seems very unusual, but I purchased a 256GB XS Max for $199 this afternoon at a store in my area so there are some models out there.

No contract/commitment required, but I believe these are only setup to work only with AT&T. I have AT&T so I haven't explored this further.

Clarification: No AT&T account info was needed to checkout. I just asked for the phone at the electronics counter, paid the total, and walked out. I charged the phone, swapped the SIM from my existing phone, and was up and running.

The manager scanned the phone that I got for $199. It said $499 on the screen, I was like damn, I hope it doesn't ring up as that price when I saw it but kept my mouth shut and stayed patient. It wasn't until they rang it through warp that they said it was $199.

KC area says none in stock to reserve and that's fine by me I am not much of a fan of the apple phones. I was able to reserve 2 S10 plus 128 gig for 299 each. I don't know if its worth the hassle and my S 8 plus is still going strong. I guess I have 48 hours to decide.

Which burb have you tried? I am far out south off of 57. Got 2 in Bourbonnais. That's all they had. I only reserved an XS max but they an xs too, it said it was unavailable to reserve online.

I just got one for $199 today. Had the 3rd party vendor that is contracted by Walmart to work in the wireless phone area print a list of all his current iPhone inventory with the prices of each. Only the Verizon and AT&T versions of the iPhone XS and XS max were at the $199 price. The Pure Prepaid iPhone XS and XS Max phones were ringing up at $399 and up. So when you ask, ask specifically for the AT&T or Verizon versions of the phone. All storage sizes 64GB to 256GB were the same price for those versions. Also, he said technically they are supposed to sell the phones with a AT&T or Verizon contract, but I asked him to check if the system would let him sell me just the phone at that price and he said if it lets him he would. So you may need to be nice and tell them the system will allow you to sell it without a contract and hope they are as nice as my sales rep was. I took the Verizon version of the XS Max to a Xfinity store and they told me the phone was compatible with their network and already unlocked so was able to get by the gig service on it for only $15 a month after they updated iOS from 11 to 14 for me.

Already too late to grab one. Seems like these were on sale for a couple of months reading form the reddit post under T-mobile sub. All I found were a few Pixel 3a XL for 24.00 and a lot of Samsung A10s, A20s, Stylo5,6. I am gonna be eyeing those S10E and S10+ in the coming weeks hoping to snag them once they drop in price hopefully.
